Verse Of The Day : One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple. Psalms 27:4

LISTEN : In defending what they believe, I do hear people say things like,Over my dead body would that happen.” “I will fight with the last drop of my blood.” Etc. Sadly, these things that people are willing to lose their lives for don’t have eternal values. They are just fleeting things. My dear, don’t you think we should transfer such passion to seeking God? To seek after God is the greatest pursuit of the wise. We discover our purposes when we seek after God. Real wisdom is to know God. This we ought to make our top priority. Beloved, what is your topmost priority? Is it to please, honour, worship and glorify God with your life? Or to do otherwise? Friend, whatever you have in life, minus God, equal to nothing. Yes! When you neglect God in your life, you have rejected your own source ; and he who rejects his source will forfeit his inheritance (blessing). This is a mystery that can only be understood by divine wisdom. When you pursue the so-called good things of life at the expense of God, you will lose all at your own expense. The truth is, you’ve gained nothing when you reject and ignore God. My dear, there is no top priority than the desire to please God. Every other thing should queue behind it. You are sure to succeed when God is your top priority. (Matthew 6:33). Like David, the desire to please God should be paramount in our lives. David said, “One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.” (Psalms 27:4). Beloved, learn to seek after God. Let the desire to serve and worship Him consume your heart, and He will grant you the desires of your heart. So, never forget to ask, “Is knowing God my topmost priority? Be wise!

Bible Verse : I will sing to the LORD, because he has been good to me. Psalms 13:6

LISTEN : It is hard to glorify God with a song when you complain against Him. My dear, God is good. Therefore, let us rejoice in Him for He is good, and His mercy endures forever. (Psalms 136:1-25). Let us sing to God for He is good to all, both young and old. No one can deny His goodness to humanity. He created the sun to give heat (warmth) and lighten the day; the moon to lighten the night. Rain to water our vegetations and to produce food enough to sustain us. He blesses us with many water sources (sea, rivers, streams, springs, swamps, lakes, lagoon, oceans, etc.); above all, He blesses us with life. Beloved, your life today is God’s goodness to you. Never take it for granted, or complain about what you think is not good enough in your life. Learn to acknowledge and appreciate the goodness of God no matter what. If you can praise God for what He has done for you no matter how little, He will do the unimaginable for you. David understands how reasonable it is to reciprocate God’s goodness, and he said, “I will sing to the LORD, because he has been good to me.” (Psalms 13:6). So, let’s sing to the Lord and glorify his name always. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you for filling my mouth with a new song. Henceforth, I will sing to you as long as I live. Amen.
