Verse Of The Day : The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? Psalms 118:6

LISTEN : A friend walked up to me in one occasion and asked, “Man of God, why is it that you don’t fear what others fear? And I replied him thus: I don’t fear what others fear because I fear God. When you fear God He takes care of your fears.” My dear, this is true. God will strangle your fears when you beat your flesh to obey Him. Obedience to God brings Him on your side. And when God is on your side, you can prevail over any situation. When you walk with God fear will disappear. God is Light and Light drives away darkness. In the same way, faith drives away fear. My dear, your walk with God will cast away your fears. David said, “The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do to me” (Psalms 118:6). Faith in God creates courage and confidence. When God is with you, no matter what is up against you, you will surely prevail. You can’t be crushed or terrified by wickedness of men. In a wicked and sin-ridden society, people live in fear, and life seems so scary because there are threats to human life. Yet, he who fears the LORD can’t live in fear of men. For he who is already buried inside Christ Jesus, no power can turn him or her into a prey. Yes, when you anchor your hope in God your faith will swallow your fears. David said, “When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.Though an host should camp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.” (Psalms 27:2-3). My dear, put your trust in God and stop nurturing spirit of fear. When you fear God you’ll have no need to be scared of anything or anyone. So, fear God and you will not live in fear. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles. Proverbs 21:23

LISTEN : “Silence is golden” they say. Wise people watch what they say. They are careful with their words. So, be wise with your own words. Our Bible text says, “Whoso keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps his soul from troubles.” (Proverbs 21:23). Don’t be part of the many who talk carelessly to their own destruction. Never say things about others that you can’t defend; don’t say things that are too high for you. Know when to talk and when to keep silent. The Bible warns us to guard our mouths against wrong use of words. Beloved, if you can’t manage your words you can’t manage your life. If you are still struggling with the control of your tongue, then you are breeding on dangerous waters. My dear, keep your mouth and you will live; let it loose and you will be doomed. Henceforth, let your tongue save lives and not waste them. Remember, silence is golden. Be wise!

Prayer : Eternal Father, help me to guard my mouth and tongue always in Jesus’ name, amen.
