Verse Of The Day : Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face! Job 13 : 15

LISTEN : Conviction shakes where the heart is unstable, but is firm where the heart is fix and resolved. Our faith in God grows and becomes stronger when we grow in understanding and knowledge of God. The more of God you know determines how far you can go with Him. Those who truly know God are hard to be knocked out by circumstances of life. No matter the blow, a person of faith deems it unreasonable to lose his faith in God even when the going gets tough. Job is one of those who would not trade God for anything. He was prepared to lose his life than lose his faith in God. (Job 1:1–22 ; 2:1-10). One may ask, “how was Job able to survive his trials?” “Why was he not broken beyond remedy?” “How was he able to remain firm in his faith in God when it was obvious that he found himself in a situation in which no progress seems possible?” “How was he able to cope with the loss of everything that was dear to his life?” “Why did he not give up hope and quit his faith?” The answer is simple. In our verse of the day. Job said, “Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face!” (Job 13:15). Job overcame his trials because he was not ready to compromise his faith no matter what. He attached more value to his faith than anything else. Wealth or no wealth, family or no family, money or no money, popularity or no popularity, Job was determined to stick with God. Not too many people could do what Job did. He demonstrated his commitment to God. though his torments were increased more and more, so that there seems to be no hope of recovery, yet, he continued to trust God. Beloved, like Job, let us pledge our allegiance to God and hold onto our faith from start to finish. Remember, you can grow unshakeable faith like Job. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge. Psalms 16:1

LISTEN : God delivers anyone who trusts in Him. God saves and preserves. To preserve is to keep safe from injury, harm, or destruction. It means to protect and keep alive. Destruction will hit anyone who chooses to abandon God. Life will be a nightmare without God. Yes, people tend to live in fear when they do not feel safe; as a result, would do anything possible to protect themselves from harm. (Judges 6:2–6,11). But no matter how much people try to protect themselves in this wicked world, it is practically impossible to escape the many traps of wickedness without God. (Job 14:1). This was exactly what David saw when he prayed, “Preserve me, God, for in you do I take refuge.”(Psalms 16:1). He prayed God to protect him from evil and wicked people. He did that, by first acknowledging God as his refuge. He knows that God is his protection in time of danger or distress. He believes God will shield him from arrows of Satan and his allies. In a nutshell, David was saying, “I will hide myself in the living God. I will depend on God for protection and none other.” Beloved, who do you run to in time of trouble? Where do you hide yourself for protection? Do you know you have no protection without God? So, fix your eyes on God in times of troubles, and always remember that salvation comes from Him. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, You are my deliverer. Deliver me from the attacks of the enemy. Amen.
