Verse Of The Day : And the serpent said unto the woman, All of you shall not surely die: For God does know that in the day all of you eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and all of you shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Genesis 3:4-5

LISTEN : God is the all-wise God. He sees what we can’t see and instructs us the way we should go to be safe. Hence, to undermine His word is to risk our life. He who undermines the word of God chooses to play with fire. And when it burns it will spare nothing. My dear, God always mean everything He says. He doesn’t play with words like man. Therefore, to walk with Him you must get serious with Him. When you don’t get serious with Him you will hurt yourself in the process. God created Adam and Eve and placed them in the garden with specific instructions on what fruit to eat and the one to avoid. He emphasised on the consequences of disobedience and said, “And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you shall not eat of it: for in the day that you eat thereof you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:16,17). For lack of discipline and quest for independence they chose to disobey God by believing something different. The serpent (devil) cajoled them to believe the lie instead of truth. This resulted in tragedy and lost of everything. What they intended to acquire became the means of disasters. What started as a pleasure ride ended up as heartbreak. My dear, it is impossible to secure a future with disobedience to God. If God is not part of your future, then, you don’t have a future. So, determine to always obey God for you are not wiser than Him. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Fear God from your heart and don’t think you are wiser than Him.
2. Surrender to God and obey His words even when you don’t feel like it.
3. Don’t oppose to the will of God. Instead, yield yourself to the control of the Holy Spirit.
4. Always watch and pray and study the word of God lest you enter into temptation.

Prayer : Heavenly Father. You’re the all-wise God. Help me to always obey you and yield to the control of the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : He who undermines the word of God chooses to play with fire. And when it burns it will spare nothing.

Quote : “It is impossible to secure a future with disobedience to God. And if God is not part of your future, then, you don’t have a future.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name. I confess that no one else is wiser than God. Hence, it is dangerous to walk outside of His will. Henceforth, I will follow His will. Amen.

Biblical Fact : Did you know Eliezer of Damascus is the chief steward of Abraham’s house? (Genesis 15:2).

Today In History : March 1, 1562 At the Massacre of Vassy, French Protestants (called Huguenots) are killed by Roman Catholics. The action set off a series of eight religious wars that lasted 36 years.

Stunning Fact : Did you know Brazil borders every country in South America except Chile and Ecuador?

A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. Henceforth, receive knowledge, wisdom and understanding to do the will of God. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Proverbs 4:7

LISTEN : It is difficult to make progress without knowledge, wisdom and understanding. In simple terms, Knowledge is the gathering of facts; understanding is the arrangements of facts ; while wisdom is the proper application of those facts. Lack of understanding of a thing hinders success. My dear, you are limited by what you don’t know. Just as physical blindness hinders acceleration, so does lack of wisdom hinders success. Wisdom is a vital aspect of life (Proverbs 4:7). Therefore, you should do all you can to acquire wisdom (Proverbs 23:23). Beloved, don’t just exist, rather exists with wisdom and understanding. Wisdom makes you a solution provider and blesses you with favours. Friend, God is willing to give you wisdom and understanding if you are willing to ask of Him in faith (James 1:5-7). So, don’t live in ignorance, rather live in full knowledge of all that God wants you to know about life and eternity. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, You are God of wisdom. Bless me with wisdom, knowledge and understanding, in Jesus’ name, amen!
