Verse Of The Day : When my anxious inner thoughts become overwhelming, your comfort encourages me. Psalms 94:19
LISTEN : Trusting God and waiting patiently for Him in times of trouble is hard; but that’s the wisest and safest thing to do at such time. People may fail or deny you, but God can’t. So, fix your eyes on Him and you will not be ashamed. When you’re pushed away by circumstances of life, push yourself back to God (Psalms 25:1-2a). Couple of months ago, I told a story about a woman whose heart was broken, and decided to write to her older sister who lives abroad. In her letter she narrated her ordeals. She said, “Sister, my heart is aching right now, because I have lost everything. My three children got sick about the same time and died successively in days. As I pen this letter to you, I have no child left! So, I can’t take it anymore. I want to end it all. I’m sorry it has to end this way, I know you would miss me greatly, but just take heart sister, I love you.” Having received the letter, she (older sister) cancelled all her engagements and flew back home to meet her hurting younger sister. Luckily, she found her still alive. She hugs her and declares to her, “It is well with you, sister! You won’t die just because your kids are dead. You will live. You are not created to die a miserable death. There is still something to live for. God cares about you and will heal your broken heart and restore your losses. Just trust Him, walk with Him and wait for Him, and you will not be disappointed.” She was comforted by her sister’s words and was gradually healed of her broken heart. My dear, are you having a troubled heart? Is your heart broken and aching? Do you think there is nothing to live for? Please stop! God cares about you (1Peter 5:7). He has plans for you, and His plans can’t be stopped by troubles of life. So, when your heart is troubled, don’t fix your eyes on it, rather, fix your eyes on God and His promises. Surely, He will honour you. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Throw all your worry on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
LISTEN : God cares about you and yours. He loves you and wants to help you. But you must let Him in. You must cast your burdens on Him by faith. My dear, we are not serving a God who is inconsiderate and insensitive to the sufferings of His people; rather, we are serving the God who cares about His people. The God that feels the pain and needs of His people. He created us for His own glory, and therefore will sustain us. And because He created us and gives us life daily, therefore, we should also allow Him take care of all the things that we are worried about. Why should you doubt God’s ability to meet your needs? God cares about you as much as He cares about me. So, have faith in Him and stop worrying yourself. Henceforth, trust the promises of God; determine never to give up on Him, refuse to fear or faint in the face of troubles, and wait patiently for Him (Isaiah 40:29-31). He will surely intervene at the right time. Therefore, throw all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you for you are caring and loving. Therefore, I will trust and serve you always, amen!
