Verse Of The Day: He, that being often reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Proverbs 29:1

LISTEN: It is dangerous to do without God. To do without God is to head for doom. Man has the natural tendency to want to live without God. Such unreasonable choice leads to hardening of one’s heart against God and his word. My dear, don’t harden your heart to God’s word, rather open your heart to Him. Never forget that he who hardens his heart to God has chosen the path of destruction. Disobedience to God is a choice to eternal destruction and death. When your heart is hardened towards God, destruction will be inevitable (Proverbs 29:1). My dear, you can’t live independent of God. God is pleading with you today to open your heart to Him and escape His wrath. So, don’t take His leniency for granted. Just acknowledge that He doesn’t want you to perish, but to be saved. Hence, the choice to be saved lies with you. God has shown us in His words how to live. Therefore, if you live outside His will, it is just because you choose to do so to your own hurt. The Bible says, “Will the LORD accept a thousand rams, or ten thousand streams of olive oil? Should I give him my firstborn child as payment for my rebellion, my offspring – my own flesh and blood – for my sin? He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the LORD really wants from you: He wants you to promote justice, to be faithful, and to live obediently before your God.” (Micah 6:7-8). Henceforth, don’t harden your heart to God; rather be opened to His words (instructions, warnings, encouragement, etc.). Surely, if you obey and honour God, you will experience the blessing He reserves for those who love and honour Him. So, open your heart to Him today and never live without God. Be wise!

Bible Verse : You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. Psalms 32:7

LISTEN : David called God a hiding place in times of troubles. Truly, He is a hiding place for those who believe in Him. Beloved, I don’t know what God is to you. For me, He is a hiding place in times of troubles. My dear, is God your hiding place? If He is, you will put your trust in Him. In our verse of the day David says, “You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance.” (Psalms 32:7). What does that mean? It means that you are secured when you run to God for protection. You will receive uncommon strength to fight and overcome your fears. With God you can triumph over your ‘enemies’ and still stay strong after the battle. Surely, when troubles swoop in to destroy you, God will swoop in to deliver you. The Lord’s deliverance comes to put a song in your mouth. When you have faith in God, He will decorate you with songs of deliverance. This represents your joy in victory. Yes, you can’t be defeated by enemies if you have surrendered yourself to God. God will compass you about with songs of victory when you hide yourself in Him; for He who makes God his hiding place is firmly hidden in Him. Beloved, make God your hiding place and He will put a new song in your mouth. Remember, God is our hiding place. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, you are my hiding place. Keep me closer to you always, in Jesus’ name, amen.
