Verse Of The Day : He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city. Proverbs 16:32

LISTEN : The wise controls his or her anger. Inability to control one’s anger is a mark of character bankruptcy. Sadly, those who lack the ability to control their anger often pays dearly for it. An athlete was competing in a 100 meter race. And immediately the race started, he was ahead of all other athletes because he was a fast runner. But rather than cheered him, the crowd booed him. Worst of all, he heard someone from the crowd shouting, “fool, fool, fool!” Out of anger he stopped and went towards that direction and asked, “who called me a fool?” A boy replied, “I did.” Forthwith, he engaged him in a fight. But before he could finish fighting, the race was over. He was so ashamed of himself. He lost the prize because he first lost control of himself. My dear, you can’t truly conquer anything if you can’t conquer yourself. To be in control of anything, you must be in control of yourself. You’ll lose control of everything if you’ve lost control of yourself. One way to conquer yourself is to be in charge of your emotions. You must guard against uncontrolled anger. Don’t be driven by what people say or do, but by what is right and the goal you’re pursuing. Learning to be yourself in every situation puts you in the path of victory. My dear, determine to conquer yourself. Be slow to anger and be self-controlled. The Bible says, “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that rules his spirit than he that takes a city.” (Proverbs 16:32). Some people are too impatient that they mess up their own lives. Beloved, there is strength in being patient. Patience is a virtue that can take you where might can’t take you. Remember, you’ve conquered nothing if you haven’t conquered yourself. So, learn to control yourself no matter what. Be wise!

Reflection : To freely dine and wine with uncontrolled anger is to be insensitive to its consequences.

Quote : “He who celebrates the spirit of anger will surely become a victim of insensitivity and avoidable catastrophe.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that it’s good to exercise patience and self-control in life. Therefore, I’ll exercise self-control and patience as long as I live, amen.

Biblical Fact : Did you know Eliezer Abraham’s servant was from Damascus? (Genesis 15:2).

Bible Verse : I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

LISTEN : Supernatural strength offers us the opportunity to do the impossible. God enables us to accomplish His purpose for our lives. He releases to us unusual strength to do what we cannot do by our own strength. Beloved, when God is involved everything is possible. The Bible says, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.” (Mark 9:23). You cannot be limited by any circumstance if your faith is alive and active. But where there is no faith, the power to encounter God is hindered. My dear, where faith reigns, doubt and fear will fade away like flowers. You can do all things because you have been empowered by the Most High God. So, no matter the circumstance, like Apostle Paul in our verse of the day, you can learn to say, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” My dear, have faith in God and He will increase His strength in you. Be wise!

Prayer : Blessed Father, increase your power in me and help me to do everything with the strength that only you can give, in Jesus’ name, amen.
