Verse Of The Day : For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. Hebrews 13:14

LISTEN : “My dear, you don’t have a home here,” says a man to his friend. His friend asked him, “Why did you say so?” He replied, “Because you live as though you will be in this world forever.” My dear, is that the way you live? Do you know this world is not our home? And that we’re just pilgrims on the earth? Beloved, this world is not our home. The world is imperfect, fleeting, and vanishing; and certainly we must die out of it. My dear, learn to use this world with wisdom. Don’t live as though you have come to stay here forever. Hold the things of this life loosely, and hold firmly onto God. God is the source and real meaning of life. Hence, to live apart from Him is to be empty of purpose. Yes, life has no meaning apart from God. The fear of God is what defines life. Therefore, it’s the height of foolishness to live as though God doesn’t matter to you. He who thinks that God doesn’t matter will himself eventually not matter in eternity. So, whatever the pleasure or excitement of your life, always remember that, this world is not your home. Our verse of the day says, “For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come.” (Hebrews 13:14). This means that, whatever you have in this life, you have it just temporarily. And when you’re gone out of this world, you would have nothing if you don’t have Jesus Christ in your life today. Beloved, open your eyes. Stop living just for this life and begin to live for God. Be wise!

Bible Verse : And they glorified God in me. Galatians 1:24

LISTEN: God’s desire for us is to love and worship Him. He wants our lives to bring glory to Him. My dear, God wants people to praise Him because of your good life. But He can’t be praised when you live in sin. He can’t be praised when you spend your life in prostitution, terrorism, Kidnapping, blackmailing others, killing, stealing and committing all manner of atrocities against God and humanity. God can’t be praised because of you when your business is to break people’s heart, traumatise and cripple them. People can only praise God in you when your life is a source of comfort, encouragement, peace, joy, unity, progress, goodness and the likes to them. Addressing his audience, Apostle Paul narrated his role in persecuting the church, and the sudden encounter with Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus (Acts 9:1-16). He concluded by telling the church that his encounter with Jesus transformed his life from persecuting the church to preaching the gospel he once sought to destroy. On hearing his testimonies, the brethren glorified God in him. (Galatians 1:15-24).) What a positive change! Beloved, what positive change can you make today to bring glory to God? Is it a change of attitude towards your marriage, the church, your family, mission and evangelism, addictions, business, relationships, your nation, etc.? Do it today and God will be glorified in you. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because you are God. Make my life a source of glory to your name, amen!
