Verse Of The Day : The one who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and the one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. Luke 16:10

LISTEN : Sometimes we wonder why no one seems to trust us. Of course, no one will trust you if you can’t be trusted. No wise person can possibly trust what he or she has not tried. My dear, trust is a very big issue when relating to others. It is hard and dangerous to associate with untrustworthy person. Everyone wants to be trusted, but not everyone can pass the test of trust. Beloved, if you must be trusted you must be tested and certified “trustworthy.” To earn people’s trust you must make certain lifestyle part of your life. You must strive to be selfless and sacrificial in nature. A selfish person can hardly be a trustworthy person. A selfish person is more interested in his or her personal gains than the gains of others. But when you are sacrificial, you can forgo certain things to benefit others. And when it is firmly established that you are sacrificial in your approach to life, you will earn people’s trust. Besides, you must show yourself trustworthy. You can’t be trusted until you are tested. To be trusted you must show yourself trustworthy. Last time you were trusted with a secret, did you keep it? The little thing you were given to manage the last time, how did you handle it? My dear, if you are not trustworthy in a little thing, it will be hard to be trustworthy in great things (see Luke 16:10). Again, you should avoid gossip. If you must earn trust of others you should avoid gossip. Stop discussing the private life of others behind them with the intention to discredit them. When you talk carelessly about others you can never earn their trust and respect. Finally, learn to keep your promises. My dear, you build trust when you keep your promises; and loses trust when it is established that you don’t keep promises. So, never play with trust; guard it with all you’ve got. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Be careful how you live because you will earn or lose trust by the way you live.
2. Esteem integrity highly and never allow anyone or anything destroy your integrity.
3. Don’t be fast to make promises instead, first evaluate situations.
4. Learn to watch your mouth in what you say about others.

Reflection : You can’t be trusted until you are tested.

Quote : “Trust is birthed by purposeful test, and murdered by betrayal. If you cannot be tested you cannot be trusted.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that, I will forever live my life to the glory of God, amen!

Bible Verse : Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalms 119:105

LISTEN : Following the light of God’s word leads to a successful end. But you will walk in total darkness without the word of God. But with God’s word with you, your path is illuminated. My dear, God’s word is good because it shows us the path to life. The word of God expresses the will of God. Those who hear and obey the word of God can never miss their way. God’s word is the light that shines in our paths. It is the light with which we can see the right path in this wicked and dark world. Without the light of His words, we are limited and doomed. Truly, speed is limited when sight is impaired. Without sight, one will stumble and grope for directions. (Mathew 6:23). My dear, what good sight is to you, God’s word is to your life. God’s word guides people to the right path. It is the key to a righteous and holy living. Those who keep step with the word of God cannot stray from His purpose. They are always protected from dangers and traps of the devil. Beloved, surrender yourself to God and you will see with the light of His words. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear, Lord, I acknowledged that I will live in darkness without your word. Therefore, help me to know your words more and more, in Jesus’ name, amen!
