Verse Of The Day : You are my hiding place; you shall preserve me from trouble; you shall compass me about with songs of deliverance. Psalms 32:7

LISTEN : With God on your side, there is a way of escape from every trouble. Yes, you cannot drown when you sail in the boat of God. When you make God your hiding place, He will make you His dwelling place. When trials come we look for a hiding place. Sadly, there is no hiding place in times of troubles except in God. God is the only one who can preserve us from trouble. In every storm He has prepared a way of escape. No storm rages against the believer without God knowing. And when we cry because of the pain of trials, in the end we will rejoice because of our patience in trials. When God moves, weeping is turned into laughter and sadness is turned into joy. The Bible says, “… weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning” (Psalms 30:5). Beloved, no matter the trials that may confront you, you must not settle for stagnation; you should keep moving and trusting God no matter what. Trials are part of the process that will take you to your God-ordained future. (Isaiah 48:10 ; Acts 14:22). The process may be painful and frustrating, but the bliss that awaits you at the end of the journey is worth the sufferings. No matter how long the journey takes, you will surely arrive at your God-given destination if you fix your eyes on God. Surely, you will sing songs of deliverance at the end of the journey, if you are not distracted by the momentary afflictions you face. So, no matter what you are going through, just believe that God will rescue and bless you in the end. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God.” Mark 11:22

LISTEN : A fig tree was cursed by Jesus Christ for failing to produce fruit for Him and His disciples when they were hungry. (Mark 11:12-14). The next day as they passed by it, Peter reminded Jesus of the fig tree He had cursed the previous day for it has withered; and Jesus Christ responded, “Have faith in God.” I believe this was not the kind of answer Peter expected to receive. However, Jesus gave the answer because He wanted His disciples to learn a big lesson from the incident of the fig tree. He wants them to know that faith in God can make everything possible. When Peter expressed surprise over the withered fig tree, Jesus Christ in His reply challenged him to grow stronger in faith to be able to walk in the realm of possibilities. When Jesus Christ urged him to have faith in God, He was saying something like, “You should not be surprised that God did what I asked! You too must trust that God will do whatever you ask him to do!” In other words, He was challenging every believer in Christ Jesus to live by faith no matter the circumstance ; only until then can we receive what God has freely given to us. Beloved, the problem we have when we pray is not that there is no God to answer, but that there is no faith to receive. If there is faith to receive, nothing shall be impossible to us. (Mark 9:23). When there is no faith we limit ourselves. Beloved, grow your faith in God and you will grow in His grace. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you for your words today. Help me to grow in faith as long as I live, amen.
