Verse Of The Day : If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8
LISTEN : God deserves our loyalty. Hence, dedicating our lives completely to Him is the greatest homage we could ever pay to Him. Couple of months ago, I told a story about a young boy who in his late twenties said to his mother, “I have given myself up to God, mother!” His mother asked him, “Son, what did you mean by ‘I have given myself up to God?’” The boy replied, “I mean, I have surrendered myself to Him. I now completely belong to God and have vowed to serve and worship Him for the rest of my life.” The mother exclaimed, “Son, you have done well for yourself by this life- transforming decision you have made. When you walk with God, your future is guaranteed. So, hold onto Him, son.” Lots of people claim to serve God, but only few serve Him in truth and in spirit. Only few are committed to Him whether dead or alive. It is quite hard today to see people who declare their loyalty to God and still stay committed to it. A lot of people are no longer living for God but for themselves. They place their own interests and opinions above God’s. My dear, those who choose to place their own interests above God’s, will wander into the wilderness of frustration, heartbreak and emptiness. As a wise person, you should strive to glorify God with your life. You should endeavour to live for God and not just for yourself. If you are living just for yourself, you are living for nothing. (Mark 8:36,37). So, don’t abandon or ignore God. He who abandons God to pursue the world will eventually discover that he has laboured in vain. Yes, those who live in this life just to please themselves at the expense of God, will regret their actions in due time. So, dedicate your life to the glory of God. Be wise!

TOPIC : DETERMINE TO LIVE A GODLY LIFE

Bible Verse : Now in fact all who want to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 2 Timothy 3:12
LISTEN : Godly living is the way of life of every genuine believer. It is a choice to fear God and obey Him. My dear, it is hard to live a holy life unless you are determined to carry your cross and follow Jesus. A holy life will attract persecution. To be persecuted is to be treated cruelly or unfairly especially because of your race or religious or political beliefs. No doubt, a society dominated by evil poses threats to the godly. Hence, anyone who is not determined will lose courage to travel alone in the “highway of righteousness.”A society that finds joy in evil and ungodliness will always hunt and torment the godly for living contrary to their world’corrupt systems and values. However, those who want to live godly will not give up on striving to please God. My dear, don’t allow persecution for righteousness stop your desire to please God. Where evil reigns, righteousness should reign much more. Always remember that, standing up for Jesus Christ is what we are called to do (1 Peter 2:21). We may suffer temporarily for it, but we shall be eternally rewarded for enduring to the end. So, don’t faint when you suffer for Christ Jesus, instead, be happy and determined, knowing that, he who endures to the end shall be saved (see Matthew 24:13 ). Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because you love righteousness. Therefore, help me to live righteously as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen!
