Verse Of The Day : The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad. Psalms 126:3

LISTEN : When God chooses to make you happy no one can keep you sad. He is such a great God that ‘affliction cries, crawls and crashes’ in His presence. The greatness of God is unfathomable. However, you cannot experience the wonders of God’s power until you believe and revere His holiness. God wants to show you kindness. He wants to put a smile on your face. So, have faith in Him. My dear, are you heartbroken because you lost your job? Is your life fallen apart because you lost a loved one? Your marriage or Business? Are you sick or bedridden? Are you gradually losing hope and given up on life? Are you finding it hard to feel happy again after the heart- wrenching experience? Beloved, be strong and courageous. Dark days (times of extreme misfortune or difficulty) are not meant to last forever. There is “light at the end of the tunnel.” There is always good days after the dark days. But only those who are willing to endure by faith will receive the blessings thereof. The Bible says, “… Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalms 30:5). The Israelites were in captivity with no obvious hope of freedom; but when God intervened, the story changed. They (Israelites) marveled at such sudden intervention and freedom, and they exclaimed in excitement, “When the LORD brought back those who returned to Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing… The LORD has done great things for us, and we are glad.” (Psalms 126:1-3). Beloved, in every situation just look to God. Surely, your dark days will give way to joy, peace and celebration. So, ignore your tears and expect your cheers. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Do not dwell on your ‘dark days’, instead, trust God for a better tomorrow.

Bible Verse : Now therefore thus says the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Haggi 1:5

LISTEN: Beloved, do you take a regular check of your moral life? Are you living in line with the will of God? In our verse of the day, God urged the Israelites to consider their ways just the same way He is urging us today. The phrase, “consider your ways” simply means to think carefully about what you are doing: to give thought to your ways. Beloved, how often do you examine your ways? Do you really watch what you do? Do you know that your actions can make or mar you? Do you also know that when you refuse to give thought to your ways you will certainly regret your decisions in the long run? Beloved, do you really examine what you do with your life? Do you consider your actions before carrying them out? Do you know that not to consider the aftermath of your actions is to head for disaster? Truly, those who act, not minding the consequences of their actions are bound to suffer harm and misery. My dear, always remember that your actions are like a seed, whatever you sow you will reap. (Galatians 6:7). If you do the right thing, you can expect God’s blessing and good success in your life. So, consider your actions and guard against doing evil. Use God’s word as your mirror and you will not be deceived. (Psalms 119:11). Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, help me to live my life to the glory of your name, amen.
