Verse Of The Day : I have said all these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble: but take heart! I have overcome the world. Matthew 16:33

LISTEN : Believe it or not, problems are part of life (Job 14:1); hence, he who prepares for it cannot be drown in its ocean. Preparing for challenges ahead, puts you ahead of your challenges. Couple of months ago, I told a story of a man who would wake up every morning to charge his son to brace up for any situation in life. He would say to his son, “Son, no matter how hard or frustrating a situation may be, don’t be discouraged or afraid; rather, brace up for the situation and you will not be defeated in life.” The boy grew up with this mindset and became strong and courageous. There was never a problem he does not have the courage and strength to confront and overcome. Challenged by his courage and willpower, his friends asked him, “Friend, why is it that you always overcome in every situation no matter how bad?” the boy smiled and replied, “I grew up with a winning mindset. My father thought me to brace up for every situation.” My dear, what mindset do you grow up with? Do you grow up with a winning mindset or losing mindset? Are you thinking and living like a winner or a loser? Are you living like a victor or a victim? Friend, how you think is important to what you become (Proverbs 23:7). If you think like a loser you are sure to continue to lose. But if you think like a winner you will be challenged to win. My dear, troubles will come no doubt, but victory is guaranteed by faith in our Saviour Jesus Christ (Mark 9:23). He has made the provision for our victory in every battle. So, rather than worrying about life’s circumstances, be strong and begin to celebrate your victory in Christ, and you will enjoy peace of mind even in difficult situations. Beloved, determine to brace up for any situation. Remember, preparing for challenges ahead, puts you ahead of your challenges. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. Psalms 145:3

LISTEN: God is truly great in His essence, goodness and greatness. And those who know Him will not fail to give glory to Him. Beloved, we should give glory to God because He is beyond compare. He created the world by His word, wisdom and power. (Proverbs 3:19 ; Jeremiah 10:12). Hence, He is to be praised with all we have, and with utmost capacities. To praise is to offer words of homage as an act of worship. Yes, we should praise God. Who else is to be praised if not God? His greatness has no end. His greatness is unsearchable. The greatness of His nature, and the perfections of it; these are past finding out; and so are His ways and works, and the riches of His grace. Our God is great and worthy to be the object of our praise, day and night (Psalms 145:1-3). Those who know God’s greatness should meditate upon it and proclaim it to others. The whole earth is full of God’s greatness and goodness towards humanity. Not only is God great, but He is full of goodness, showing covenant faithfulness to His people and gracious love to people everywhere. Therefore, let us bring Him unending praise for all his goodness and greatness; for when we deny God His praise, He will surely deny us His blessings. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because you are great. Therefore, I will serve you for the rest of my life, amen.
