Verse of The Day : So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalms 90:12
LISTEN : Every new beginning is an opportunity to do something differently and better from what you use to do. This is a new year. You should begin it wisely and reasonably. Start it off in a wise manner; be prudent, sensible and live with wisdom. The year 2019 just ended some minutes ago, and we have just begun the new year with celebrations, great wishes, dreams and high expectations. We are happy that we made it to the new year. That’s fine and exciting. But we seem to be forgetting something. We failed to realise that, every new year reduces our lifespan by one year; every new year draws us closer to the grave; and every new year should cause us to reflect on the true meaning of life and our emptiness without God. Sadly, a fool is not aware of this, only the wise understands this mystery and strives to be at peace with God. (Psalms 14:1). Few hours ago, some were carried away by end of year celebration, that they failed to reflect on their lives for the last one year. My dear, life is a privilege, and we should live it wisely because we might cease to live anytime. Let us live with understanding. Real life begins with the fear of God. (Proverbs 9:10). So, don’t be deceived by the so-called pleasures of life, instead, always reflect on the brevity of life, and therefore pursue the will of God. The Psalmist said, “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” (Psalms 90:12). Beloved, pondering on the brevity of life will help us to moderate our lives. Friend, another year has started counting again. Thank God you are among the living. You have the opportunity to make it right with God and to pursue your God-given goals. Therefore, do not allow any day of the 365 days of the year to end as a waste. Make the most of every opportunity with the fear of God and you will have testimonies to tell at the end of the year, God willing. So, begin this year wisely and reasonably. Be wise!

TOPIC : CHRIST JESUS GIVES US ACCESS TO GOD
Wednesday, January 1, 2020
Bible Verse : Through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory. Romans 5:2
LISTEN : We have no access to God without Christ Jesus. The truth is, Jesus Christ is our access to God. Our faith in Him brings us to God’s family and eventually to His kingdom. Jesus is the way, and anyone who misses Him misses the way. My dear, you need Jesus Christ. You don’t need anything to enjoy the grace of God, all you need is faith in Christ Jesus. Faith gives you access to God’s grace; as lack of faith will shut you out of His presence. Beloved, faith is important to your relationship with God. You can never have a relationship with God without faith. This means that, if you are empty of faith you can’t have access to God. You must learn to believe what God says about you, and to trust that He is able to do all He says He will do (Hebrews 11:6). Beloved, the grace of God is available today, but it must be received by faith. Your faith in Christ Jesus will give you access to the same grace that all believers in Christ have. So, have faith in Christ Jesus, because faith in Him will give you access to the grace of God. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you for your words today. Help me to put my trust in you always, in Jesus’ name, amen!
