Verse Of The Day : I sought the LORD’s help and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Psalms 34:4
LISTEN : Never begins a process that will destroy you. Couple of months ago, I told a story about a man who stumbled on a certain man who was bearing his chin with his hand. He appeared so depressed and dejected. The man who stumbled on him walked past him and watched him from a distance for over one hour. He came back to the depressed man and said, “My dear, I have been watching you for sometime now. And I am wondering what could keep you in this mood for such a long time.” The depressed man was silent with his hand still in his chin. The concerned man asked again and again to know what his problem was, but he refused to say a word. As he was leaving, he said to the depressed man, “My dear, if you like, worry from now till the end of life, you can’t benefit anything from it, but I’m sure you will lose and continue to lose until you lose your life. So, put aside your worries and set your sails. Let the winds of change pick you up and take you on the voyage of your life. I’m leaving you now! Take care of yourself.” But as soon as the man left him, he removed his hand from his chin and stood up and said “I can’t end like this, I must fulfill my purpose of existence.” My dear, are you like the depressed man in today’s story? Are you badly hit with misfortunes and heartbreak? Just know that, worry is not the solution. God is the answer to your problems. Seek His help and mercy and He will deliver you from all your fears. Stop worrying (Philippians 4:6-7) Worry doesn’t see solutions, all it sees is problems. Worry magnifies problems and fuel the spirit of fear. My dear, resist the spirit of worry, because worry undermines the power of God and His ability to help you. Surely, he who worries will be too blind to see God; for worry blurs spiritual vision. Therefore, put aside your worries and fears and put your trust in the living God. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Teach me your way, O LORD; I will walk in your truth: unite my heart to fear your name. Psalms 86:11
LISTEN : God’s word leads to life. To learn the ways of God is to learn to please Him. God is life and light; and His way is the path of life, love, peace, righteousness and the like. Man has no life without God. As a matter of fact, there is no life in anyone who chooses to abandon the ways of God. The way of God saves, protects, gives light to the blind and life to the dead. The way of God sets captives free and brings fulfillment to their God-given purpose. The way of God rejoices the heart and brightens up the face. Besides, the way of God teaches and guides people to know God. No one knows the ways of God until he or she is willing to learn His ways. God’s ways are not our ways (Isaiah 55:8,9), hence, those who want to follow His own ways must first learn His way through obedience and humility. The ways of God are the “highways” of righteousness, holiness, godliness, obedience, faith, truth, dedication, peace, love, etc. So, you should make the decision to learn and follow the ways of God today. Like the Psalmist in our verse of the day, you should desire to know and do what will please God; walk in truth, and live in His fear. Beloved, ask God to teach you His ways and you will not miss the way to your God-given purpose. Be wise!
Prayer : Blessed Father, teach me your way and make me to learn how to please you always, amen!
