Verse Of The Day: Even, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. Psalms 23:4

LISTEN: Are you confident of the presence of God with you? Are you sure God is with you always? My dear, you can’t be sure of God’s presence until you consistently walk with Him. Walking with God drives away fear. God’s presence is the cure for fear. Fear can’t survive where God’s presence prevails; for in the presence of God there is freedom, and that includes freedom from spirit of fear. (2 Corinthians 3:17). Fear is strong where God’s word is neglected. But faith is produced when God’s word is heard and properly utilised. God’s word opens our eyes to His promises and grows our faith to believe God and overcome in battles of life. Fear is overcome when faith is anchored in God. Besides, when we live in line with God’s will, God will impact us with uncommon bravery and strength. Living in line with the will of God triggers boldness, but sin deflates confidence. (Proverbs 28:1b). The righteous are not afraid of any evil because they know that fear is Satan’s instrument of destruction. Satan uses fear to empty people of their strength and opportunities to excel. Beloved, fear not! Learn to fight your fears through faith in God. Be strong and courageous for God is greater than what appears to be greater than you. (1 John 4:4). David said, “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4). In his troubles he trusted God for intervention, and therefore said, “In the time of my fear, I will have faith in you.”(Psalms 56:3). So, determine to walk in faith and be confident in the presence of God. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Psalms 119:105

LISTEN : God’s word is the light that shines in darkness. The word of God is good because it shows us the path to life. The word of God expresses the will of God. Those who hear and obey the word of God can never miss their way. God’s word is the light that shines in our paths. It’s the light with which we can see the right path in this wicked world. Without the light of His words we are limited. Truly, speed is limited when sight is impaired. Without sight, one will stumble and grope for directions. (Mathew 6:23). Beloved, what good sight is to you, God’s word is to your life. God’s word guides people to the right path. It’s the key to a righteous and holy living. Those who keep step with the word of God can’t stray from God’s purpose. They’re protected from dangers and traps of the devil. Their thoughts are weighed and refined by the word of God, as a result, their actions are in line with His will. They’re not limited by forces of darkness because they receive light (insight, direction, revelation, knowledge understanding and wisdom) from the word of God. (Psalms 119:99,100). With God’s word in your heart, you’re sure to follow His eternal purpose for your life. Beloved, explore the word of God. God’s word is the expression of His will. When you follow His words you will discover His will. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, let your word shine as light in my heart, in Jesus’ name, amen.
