Verse Of The Day : The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will in no way be harmed by the second death. Revelations 2:11
LISTEN : “Your ears are for hearing”, says a mother to her child. When I was a child, my mother would always pull my ears anytime I disobeyed her instructions with this remark, “Your ears are meant for hearing”. And each time she does that, the pain of such chastisement keeps me from going back to my mistakes. She does that because she loves me. And that’s what our loving Father in heaven does to us (Hebrews 12:6). He commends, corrects and cautions His people where necessary. Jesus Christ concluded His messages (revelations) that was given to John the Apostle for the seven churches of Asia minor, and by extension to churches of all ages, with these statements, “He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says unto the churches.” (see Revelations 2:7,11,17,29; 3:6,13,22). He commended, corrected and cautioned the churches to heed God’s word and live right no matter what. When we obey God we’ll be saved from eternal death. My dear, God created the ear for hearing. And what the ear hears should lead to actions that should glorify God who graciously and purposefully created the ears. Beloved, our ears should hear the voice of God, and the voice of God is the voice of correction, encouragement, warning, love, rebuke, direction and the like. But when we disobey Him, we have lost our real sense of hearing. My dear, what have you done with the words of God you’ve been hearing? Has it transformed you? If not, consider your ways and return to God. Remember, if you close your ears to the voice of God, He’ll close His ears to your cry when disaster comes. Be wise!
Having read today’s devotional, what’s expected of you?
1. Always heed God’s warning and save yourself from disasters.
2. Don’t close your ears to the instructions of God and He will not shut His ears to your cry.

TOPIC : WHEN EVERYTHING APPEARS CONFUSING
Bible Verse : Into your hand I commit my spirit: you have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. Psalms 31:5
LISTEN : When everything appears confusing, put your trust in the living God. When the going gets tough and you don’t know what else to do, place your faith in God. Look to Him for provision, protection and intervention. Talk to Him about what you’re going through. Tell Him your fears and worries because He cares for you (1Peter 5:7). God is forever faithful and won’t fail you. He’s always there to help when trouble hits you. Beloved, God is faithfully waiting for you to call to Him. Why not call to Him today and be delivered? When you’re stretched and stressed out by troubles, spread yourself in God’s word. Breath the fresh air of His presence. Dig deep into His words and you’ll find rest for your soul. My dear, the words of God will point you to His faithfulness. Truly, when you understand the words of God you’ll acknowledge and appreciate His faithfulness. Beloved, cheer up! God is forever faithful to those who put their trust in Him. So, put your trust in God and you won’t be put to shame. Remember, when everything seems confusing, God is there to help you. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you because you’re God. Therefore, when everything seems confusing, open my eyes to your will, in Jesus ‘ name, amen.
