Verse Of The Day : Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face! Job 13:15

LISTEN : Job had an uncommon loyalty to God. In spite of unpleasant situations, he held on to God. When his tragedies multiply, he intensified his faith in God. His tragedy was much that no one, including his family members and closest friends could believe he was not responsible for his calamity. Everyone deserted and despised him. Then the question is, “how was he able to survive such predicaments?” “Why was he not broken beyond remedy?” How was he able to remain firm in his faith in God, when it is obvious that he found himself in a situation in which no progress seems to be possible?” “How was he able to cope with the loss of everything?” “Why did he not give up hope and quit his faith? My dear, the answer is hidden in his faith in God. In our verse of the day he said, “Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face!” (Job 13:15). Job’s faith was not compromised no matter his trials. He esteemed his faith in God more than anything else. Wealth or no wealth, family or no family, money or no money, popularity or no popularity, he was determined to stick with God. Not too many people can do what Job did. Job wanted nothing but God. Thankfully, at last he found God and was not disappointed (Job 42:12-17). Beloved, when you reject all in favour of God, God will return to you with His blessings at the appointed time. So, no matter the pressure, determine to have uncommon loyalty to God. Be wise!

Verse Of The Day : Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

LISTEN : My dear, worry no more. God is alive and willing to help you. Stop worrying about your problems and start trusting God for a change. Why worry about your needs and problems when you can pray and trust God? (Philippians 4:6). Do you think God doesn’t care about you? Besides, what do you think you can fix by worrying yourself? Beloved, God cares about you. Yes, He cares about us! No matter what you’re facing right now, God is still faithful and does care about you. (Psalms 94:14 ; 55:22). The faithfulness of God is for all generations. Therefore, always trust His faithfulness and He’ll sustain you. Don’t believe the lies that God doesn’t care about your problems. Our verse of the day says, “casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7). Beloved, God is your maker. He created you for His good purposes. So, why doubt His ability to meet your needs and fix your problems. My dear, learn to have faith in Him, stop worrying yourself, trust His promises, determine never to give up on Him, refuse to fear or faint in the face of troubles, and wait patiently for Him. Don’t waste your time worrying when you can praise, pray and trust God’s faithfulness. God is willing to help, so don’t destroy your life. Look up in faith, surely you’ll see our dependable God. Cast all your worries on Him, because he cares for you. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I surrender my worries to you. Deliver me from my troubles, amen.
