Verse Of The Day : God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21

LISTEN : Imagine being punished for a crime you know nothing about. How would you feel? Bad, right? But Jesus Christ felt differently when he died for us on the cross. He felt fulfilled when he dealt with sin and death. Death is the greatest tragedy of humanity. It has been a threat to human existence. It is the major source of human misery, pain and sorrow. Whenever it strikes, it leaves its victims helpless, and the living are thrown into mourning and heartbreak. No tribe, race or people in human history have not tasted the bitter pills and venom of death. The great and small, poor and rich, strong and weak ; young and old, whites and blacks alike, have been stung by death at one point or the other. However, the death of Jesus Christ restored hope to humanity. Though, Jesus’s experience on the cross was not palatable, but that was the only appeasement and atonement for sin God can truly honour. It was necessary for Him to die for us to be forgiven, redeemed and saved. Beloved, it is really surprising, yet thrilling, that the sinless Son of God should die for sinful man. He died to save even the vilest of sinners. Amazingly, His death pleased the LORD. What a privilege to have the sinless Son of God take our place on the cross! He knows no sin, yet, He died for our sake to redeem and restore us back to God. Therefore, I am happy to inform you that no sinner is too sinful to be saved. All depends on you. You can either seize or miss the opportunity to be saved today. (Luke 23:39-41; 2 Corinthians 6:2). Remember, Jesus Christ died to set us free. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you for your mercy and love towards me. I know that Jesus died for me, therefore, help me to embrace and serve Him for the rest of my life, amen.

Reflection : Freedom received by the death of Jesus Christ can’t benefits anyone who despises and rejects his death.

Quote : “A sinner wouldn’t die in sin if he recognizes what a friend and Saviour he has in Jesus Christ and the power of his death.”

Faith Confession : In Jesus’ name, I confess that God gave up His Son Jesus Christ for my sake. Therefore, I will serve and worship Him as long as I live, amen.

Bible Verse : Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. Psalms 145:3

LISTEN: God has no compare. His glory is unmatchable. His greatness has no compare. God created the world by His word, wisdom and power. (Proverbs 3:19 ; Jeremiah 10:12). He is to be praised with all we have, and with utmost capacities. Beloved, who else is to be praised if not God? His greatness has no end. His greatness is unsearchable; that is, the greatness of His nature, and the perfections of it; these are past finding out; and so are His ways and works, and the riches of His grace. Our God is great and worthy to be the object of our praise, day and night (Psalms 145:1-3). Those who know God’s greatness should meditate upon it and proclaim it to others. The whole earth is full of God’s greatness and goodness towards humanity. Not only is God great, but He is full of goodness, showing covenant faithfulness to His people and gracious love to people everywhere. Therefore, those who have tasted His love should show their gratitude by praising Him and telling others of His mighty works. In this way, they will help spread His rule to the lives of others. Beloved, let us bring God unending praise for all his goodness and greatness. Remember, God is the greatest and His greatness has no compare. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, you’re great and your greatness has no compare. Therefore, help me to honour and serve you as long as I live, amen.
