Verse Of The Day : Every prudent man acts with knowledge. Proverbs 13:16

LISTEN : Neglect often leads to irredeemable regret. Things get really bad because unexpected and minor problems are often neglected. In a system, no problem is minor. A neglected ‘minor problem’ puts a major problem on the whole, because one thing would lead to another. My dear, when something seems wrong, even a little bit of wrong, that’s the time to check into it. It is a smart move to take each glitch seriously, and stop and evaluate before things get really bad. A couple of months ago I told a story of a man who was embarking on a trip. His friend visited and saw him dressing up for his journey. And his friend asked, “My dear, I hope you’re not travelling by your car?” “By my car of course! He replied.” His friend asked again, “Have you fixed the problem with the break system? ” And he replied, “It’s a minor problem, I will be fine.” He zoomed off and bid farewell to his friend and family. Few hours later, his wife received a phone call from the police, that her husband was involved in a ghastly auto crash and he died on the spot. Sadly, a lot of people are like this careless man in our story. They like to wait until things get really bad. They have no sense of urgency to issues of life because they lack knowledge. People perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6). This’s why the Bible says, “Every prudent man acts with knowledge.” (Proverbs 13:16). A person with good sense will always think carefully and act wisely. For he knows the right thing to do, and the right time to do it (1 Chronicles 12:32). My dear, learn to act with knowledge. Fix minor problems in your life before things get really bad. Remember, neglect often leads to irredeemable regret. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?

Bible Verse : Over and over again the LORD has sent his servants the prophets to you. But you have not listened or paid attention. Jeremiah 25:4

LISTEN : We just saved our souls when we obey God and have faith in His words. God encourages, guides and warns us through His words. God can’t punish people without first warning them. And He whom the Lord warns He wants to save. Sadly, lots of people choose to ignore His warnings. My dear, God is grieved and provoked to anger when you harden your heart against Him. (Ezekiel 18:4). He wants us to be opened to His words and save our lives. God commanded the Israelites to promote justice in the land; be faithful to Him, and live obediently to Him in all respect. He is saying the same thing to us today. God is interested in obedience and faithfulness to Him. My dear, are you faithful and obedient to God? Surely, if we all can choose to obey and honour God, the world will not be a terrible place to live. The world has been turned into a terrible place today because, many have rejected the ways of God. However, if we can repent and turn to Him for mercy, the world will be safe for all to live, and in the end, we will not suffer destruction. Beloved, remember to obey God and save your life. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, we belong to you. Therefore, help us to obey you and not be destroyed, in Jesus’ name, amen.
