Author : Bishop Julius Okarike…
Verse Of The Day : Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this. Ecclesiastics 7:10
LISTEN : When things go wrong in our lives we ask why? We tend to dwell long in the past, instead of advancing courageously and purposefully to the future. We keep asking why? Instead of finding solutions to our problems. When present condition seems bad when compared to the past, we spend all our time asking why? And mourning the good old days instead of looking for a solution and appreciating God for everything. “No condition is permanent” they say. When you think you have nothing to live for because of your present situation, remember that, God who sees the past can bless the present and shape the future. My dear, don’t dwell in the past that you forget to appreciate God for the present and believe Him for the future. It’s such a bad way to reciprocate God’s goodness and mercy towards you. No matter what happens now, your memories of good old days shouldn’t drown your gratitude for today. What’s happening to you now may not be what you wished for, yet, it is worth thanking God for. Just accept today the way it is and work and pray for a better tomorrow. Stop murmuring and counting your losses, for it will further frustrate you; instead, praise God for the gift of life and trust Him for a better life. Our Bible verse says, “Do not say, Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not ask wisely about this.” (Ecclesiastics 7:10). Beloved, stop wasting your entire life asking why you’re experiencing what you never wished for, instead, pray and work hard for a change. Be wise!

TOPIC : LIVE TO PLEASE GOD
Bible Verse : You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, evil, and slanderous talk. Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you. Ephesians 4:31,32
LISTEN: It’s possible to have the mind of Christ if you’re determined to respect the will of God. The life of Christ is the life of God. It’s a lifestyle created after the image of God. It’s a kind of life that the unbelieving world has rejected, resented and hated, because it comes with great responsibility. It’s a kind of life that is lived to please God by eschewing evil and sin. It’s a life of sacrifice, commitment and dedication to the almighty God. Without putting on the life of Christ, which in other words is the new life, we can’t serve God acceptably. The bible says, “I plead to you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that all of you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be all of you transformed by the renewing of your mind…”(Romans 12:1,2). Beloved, living the life of Christ is to live with a renewed mindset dominated by love, forgiveness, compassion, righteousness, holiness and the likes. Putting on the life of Christ comes with a change of attitude, from the old to the new. Therefore, let us put away evil lifestyles and put on the life of Christ – love, peace, gentleness, purity, mercy, compassion, and to forgive others the same way Christ forgave us. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, help me to have the mind of Christ as long as I live, amen.
