Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : For whoever finds me, finds life, and will obtain favor from the LORD. But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.” Proverbs 8:35,36 (NHEB).

LISTEN : Wisdom brings life and favour. Where God reigns wisdom reigns, and where wisdom reigns life and favour abound. My dear, seek wisdom. When you discover true wisdom you have discovered God. What is wisdom? Wisdom in a nutshell is good sense. It is the right application of knowledge and the ability to understand what others don’t understand. Life is completely meaningless without wisdom. Lack of wisdom will hinder and frustrate our relationship to God. Wisdom gives meaning and honour to life; hence, to be without wisdom is to be empty of real life. My dear, wisdom plays a vital role in all aspects of life. The Bible says, “Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7 NHEB). Beloved, when you gain wisdom, especially divine wisdom, you have gained life, and equally position yourself for favour. Wisdom opens doors and releases favour on those who love it. As a matter of fact, to ignore wisdom is to live at the mercy of circumstances. So, seek wisdom. Wisdom is calling today. “Her” voice is not hidden if you can open your ears.” (Proverbs 8:1). Learn wisdom from nature, circumstances, etc. Above all, study and meditate in the word of God to obtain wisdom. Beloved, God’s word is wisdom bank, so, explore it. Never reject wisdom, for anyone who rejects wisdom loves misery and death. Remember, wisdom brings life and favour. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Cast your burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain you: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalms 55:22

LISTEN: Friend, take your problems to God. Stop worrying about your problems and start trusting God instead. When you worry, you will be unable to think or act normally. Worrying in the face of trouble makes you grow weak in faith. Besides, your courage will suddenly collapse. Beloved, be strong in faith. If you can grow your faith with the word of God, you can never be a victim of fear and worry. When Abraham was waiting for the child of promise (Isaac), it looks like waiting for an eternity, yet, he had to wait patiently. Not minding his age and that of his wife; he still believes that God is faithful to His word. (Romans 4:20,21). My dear, how strong is your faith? Do you know faith will keep you focused when the road is “rough and narrow.?” A person of faith never stops believing what God has promised. So, cast all your worries on God, because he cares for you. Yes he does! Never be distracted by circumstances, instead, have faith in God. (Jer 32:17,27). Whatever your situation is, learn to put your trust in God. Even when you cannot trace Him, yet, He is trustworthy. So, look to Him and be strong. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you because you are a solution provider. Help and sustain me in times of troubles, in Jesus’ name, amen.
