Verse Of The Day : Hatred stirs up strife: but love covers multitude of sin. Proverbs 10:12

LISTEN : Beloved, forgive because you’ll need forgiveness at some point in your life. Few months ago I told a story about a certain unforgiving fellow who was asked why he doesn’t forgive others. He replied, “I don’t believe in forgiveness.” Few days later he offended a man and the matter was reported to the police, who in turn arrested and arraigned him before the court. When he realised the gravity of the charges against him, and the likely jail terms, he pleaded with the man for out of court settlement. But the man replied, “I’m aware that you are unforgiving. Why should I forgive you when you don’t believe in forgiveness? Like you, I don’t believe in forgiveness too.” Sadly, the man was found guilty as charged and sentenced to many years imprisonment. In the same way, if you find it impossible to forgive others, God will find it impossible to forgive you (Matthew 6:14,15). Besides, others will find it difficult to forgive you if they know that, you are such a terrible unforgiving fellow. My dear, let us love one another and stop promoting hatred, bitterness, malice, etc; such would promote unforgiveness, violence, strife, terrorism, killing, oppression and the like. If we can let go of offenses we all can have a better future together. My dear, forgive and you’ll receive forgiveness too. My dear, is there someone you’ve not yet forgiven? Someone that may have hurt you deeply. Please forgive. Don’t harden your heart to this message. When you forgive, you’ve opened the door to attract forgiveness. But when you’re unforgiving you’ll surely attract same to yourself. Be wise!

Bible Verse : But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:2

LISTEN : Our love for God will increase our love for His word. When you take the word of God serious, you’ll discover more of God. My dear, are there benefits for taking the word of God serious? Will God’s word make you better than you are? Yes, the word of God is a refiner. It brings the best in us. Because God’s word is pure, it purifies anyone who values it. The Bible says, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” (Psalms 12:6). Yes! The word of God revives, refreshes and reforms people. The Bible says, The law of the Lord is good, giving new life to the soul: the witness of the Lord is certain, giving wisdom to the foolish” (Psalms 19:7 BBE). Truly, when the word of God is present in a person’s life, transformation will occur; a sinner will be changed into a saint, hope will be given to the hopeless, bitterness will be turned to sweetness ; and shame will be turned into glory. Besides, God’s word is a way maker. It gives directions and enables those who esteem it highly to be successful and prevail in life. So, be serious with the word of God and you’ll enjoy its benefits. Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, your word is true and active. Therefore, help me to love your words as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen
