Author :Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : Now at one point the Pharisees asked Jesus when the kingdom of God was coming, so he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is in your midst.” Luke 17:20,21

LISTEN : The Kingdom of God is the kingdom of love. God is Love and where He rules love rules; and where love rules selfishness and all manners of evil can’t survive. The Bible tells us that, the kingdom of God is in our midst. My dear, is the kingdom of God with you? What is a kingdom? A kingdom is simply a governing impact of a king’s will over a territory or domain. So, God’s kingdom is not just a location where you would live (eat and drink), but it is everywhere we allow God and His Spirit to govern us. Wherever God the Father of our Saviour Jesus Christ is acknowledged and revered as King, is the Kingdom of God. My dear, if God’s ideas and words govern your family, your organization, your business, etc., and His rules are obeyed, then, His Kingdom is in your midst. Before God eventually brings His eternal rule or Kingdom to the earth, we should feel the impact of His Kingdom today. God’s Kingdom is in contrast to the kingdoms of men. The kingdom of men is corrupt, but the kingdom of God is a Kingdom of righteousness. The kingdom of men have an end, but the Kingdom of God has no end. When His Kingdom comes the reign of Satan would be over. There will be no more death, sickness and disease, pain, sorrow, tribulation, tragedy, and all sorts of evil (Revelations 21:1-4). My dear, let’s pray for His Kingdom to come. His Kingdom means following His rules. When the Kingdom of God (the Kingdom of light) is with us, then, the kingdom of Satan (the kingdom of darkness) can’t rule over us. Be wise.

Bible Verse : Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is near. Philippians 4:5

LISTEN : Demonstrate your goodness to all. Learn to be gracious to everyone. Have a gracious attitude. That is, be courteous, kind, and pleasant, especially towards those of lower social status. In our Bible verse , we are urged to be gentle. Gentleness is not a sign of timidity or weakness; or a demonstration of folly, but a proof of godliness and wisdom. You distinguished yourself when you live gently and wisely toward others. My dear, God wants you to be gentle. He wants us to lead a gentle life. He wants us to have or show a kind and quiet nature. He does not want us to be unnecessarily harsh or violent toward others. Gentleness is one of the “fruit” of the Holy Spirit, at such, every child of God should possess it. The Bible says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control…”(Galatians 5:22,23). Beloved, are you gentle to others? Gentle people don’t terrorise or traumatise others. They don’t kidnap, maim, torture or kill others. They are peaceful and tolerant. They value human lives and respect God. They are conscious of their actions. My dear, be gentle and God-fearing. Be wise!

Prayer : Precious Father, help me to be gracious to others as long as I live, amen.
