Verse Of The Day : … but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. Daniel 11:32

LISTEN : The heat we children of God face in the world will either result in staying dedicated to God, or renouncing Him. Those who are not strong and committed will renounce God when the going gets tough. Truth is, no person can stand pressure in the name of God when he or she is chicken hearted. We need to be determine and dogged to be the kind of people God wants us to be for His kingdom. My dear, you’re to be on fire for God. What does it mean to be on fire for God? It means to sustain one’s commitment and dedication to God (Daniel 3:16-18); to keep burning the incense of prayer; to do exploits for God and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ with passion (see Acts 8:1-8,40). But what creates the atmosphere of being on fire for God? The atmosphere for being on fire for God is created through love and fear of God; spiritual knowledge; self-discipline; right association, etc. My dear, God wants you to be on fire for Him. So, strive to catch this fire now and always; for this is the time to offer your best to God. Beloved, when you’re on fire for God you can’t stop burning for Him. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Sanctify them by your truth; your word is truth John 17:17

LISTEN : God’s word is vital for a holy living. The word of God produces what we need to be dedicated to God. His word guarantees the cleansing we need to connect to Him. Jesus Christ is the Word of God. He is the ultimate truth. Jesus Christ prays to His Father to sanctify his disciples with the truth, the Word of God. This means that, God’s word makes us pure and cleanses us from sin (1Th 5:23;1Co 6:11). Truly, sanctification in the life of the believer is progressive. Through the word the believer is made to become more like Christ and less attached to the world. The word of God enables the believer to get the control over evil thoughts, passions, and impure desires. Besides, through the word, the believer’s eyes are opened to those things which are unseen and eternal. As a result, he is consecrated, and set apart to God’s purpose. Beloved, Jesus Christ wants you to be made more holy and truly consecrated to God as a follower of His religion. As believers in Christ Jesus, we can only be devoted to the service of God if we are pure and renewed by the word of God. Surely, our faith in Christ cannot function without sanctification (Heb 12:14) When we study and appreciate God’s word, it will separate us from sin, provoke dedication to God and gives us freedom. So, surrender your heart to God and allow His words to influence your life. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, grant me to be holy and acceptable to you, in Jesus’ name, amen!
