Verse Of The Day : The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it. Psalms 68:11

LISTEN : When Jesus Christ started His earthly ministry, He first gathered those who will publish His message to the world. They were His disciples. Jesus said, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. (Matthew 4:19). They’re to publish (i.e make generally known) the good news of the kingdom of God to the world. My dear, the good news of the kingdom of God is waiting for us to publish it with excitement and willingness to save lives around the world. We’re called to call others; and saved to save others. As a matter of fact, you’re not truly saved when the life of others doesn’t make sense to you. Truth is, those who are truly saved can’t neglect to save others from the hand of Satan. My dear, we should pass on the good news to others and open their eyes to the love and grace of God. What’s the good news you should tell others? It’s that God loves them and wants them saved; that the death of Jesus Christ took away their sin; that God promises eternal life to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ. Beloved, we should give sinners the opportunity to receive forgiveness for their sins. Yes, it’s reasonable for a great God to forgive great sinners through the death of His son Jesus Christ; because only the death of Jesus Christ could purchase our freedom. But if we don’t tell them the consequences of sin and the benefits of righteousness, they’ll die in there ignorance and God will hold us accountable (Ezekiel 33:7-9). Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Don’t keep the good news of the kingdom of God to yourself, rather, spread it to others.
2. Anytime you hear or read the word of God, make sure you talk about it to others.
3. Never slack from winning souls to the kingdom of God, instead, be committed to soul winning.
4. Determine to win souls for Christ wherever you go, even when others are not concerned about sinners.

Bible Verse : But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James 1:22

LISTEN: You deceived yourself any time you disobey the word of God; and attracts His blessings when you’re committed and faithful to His words. God blesses faithful hearers of His words. A faithful hearer is a doer of the word, but a forgetful hearer is one who hears and fails to obey it. My dear, going to church is not enough. It’s not a guarantee that you’re a genuine child of God. True children of God are known for their willingness to obey and serve God with their whole hearts. (Matthew 7:21). They’re not mere hearers but doers of the word of God. They’re not just churchgoers but Kingdom citizens. My dear, do you know that churchgoing will only make you a church member, but faithfulness to God will make you a Kingdom citizen? So, as children of God, our lives should influence those who are living in darkness. We should attract the unbelieving world to our own faith in Christ by the way we live. Henceforth, determine to live in line with the word of God. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to always obey your words and not disobey you, amen!
