Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth and turmoil with it. Proverbs 15:16
LISTEN : Wealth is good, but ill-gotten wealth will eventually amount to a disaster. The Bible says, “What you get by dishonesty you may enjoy like the finest food, but sooner or later it will be like a mouthful of sand.” (Proverbs 20:17 GNB). My dear, I’m sure that’s not what you want for yourself. It’s so sad that, when it comes to amassing wealth, lots of people throw caution to the wind. They don’t care about honesty and their own integrity. Besides, they don’t bother about the consequences of their own actions. They care so much about wealth that they forget the value of life. They want to make it big time and fast. And therefore, could kill, hurt, maim, cheat, betray, blackmail, torture, torment, lie and do all manner of evil to others just to amass wealth. Unfortunately, there are consequences for such dishonest, inhumane and selfish lifestyles. My dear, you can’t get away with evil for a long time. There’s always the day of reckoning. A day you’ll come face to face with what you’ve done wrong. A day you’ll wish you had done it differently. As a matter of fact, you can’t evade the consequences of your dishonesty forever. Therefore, be decent and considerate in your approach to life. Learn to pursue wealth with the fear of God and love for humanity. That’s the right way to acquire wealth. It’s better to have little with the fear of God than great wealth with troubles everywhere. My dear, aspire to be great; but don’t be great at the expense of others and the glory of God. Remember, wealth acquired by deceit or fraud will eventually break the heart of the deceiver. Be wise!

TOPIC : SAY IT AND HAVE IT
Bible Verse : Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Matthew 7:7
LISTEN : God will give when you ask. He gives to those who ask of Him. So, ask Him. My dear, you will not receive until you ask in line with His will. Learning to ask is learning to receive. God gives answers when we ask. He reveals and releases hidden things when we seek; and He will let us in when we knock on His door. God honours those who are importunate in prayer. He blesses those who are tenacious in seeking to discover His will and receive His blessings. He will not ignore those who refuse to give up on knocking on the door of mercy and blessings. He promises to respond when we sincerely ask, seek and knock on His door of grace. The Bible says, “For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:8). My dear, stop complaining and begin to ask, seek and knock on the door you want to open up in your life. Never miss any opportunity to ask, seek and knock on God’s door through prayer. Remember, God gives to those who ask of Him. Therefore, you can’t be empty of answers when your mouth is full of prayers. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you because you answer prayers. Therefore, hear me when I call you, in Jesus’ name, amen!
