Verse Of The Day : Whoso offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God. Psalms 50:23

LISTEN: Praise is a powerful tool for creating an atmosphere of fellowship with God. He who employs praise will attract the presence of God. My dear, praise moves God and blesses the praiser. To praise God is to express thanks to or love and respect for Him. It is to say good things about Him for all He has done or yet to do. Praise gladdens the heart of God and opens His hands to give to the one who asked of Him. When God is praised miracles happen. Because praise brings glory to God, he who praises Him glorifies Him. Therefore, He responds to such act of honour with blessings. My dear, do you give praise to God for His goodness towards you? When your mouth is full of praise to God, He will fill your hands with His favour. Beloved, if you can praise God in spite of troubles, God will honour and deliver you no matter what. Don’t quit praising God, for praise is God’s will for His people. (1 Thessalonians 5:18). If you can praise Him irrespective of any situation in your life, He will reveal His power to you and deliver and bless you beyond measure. My dear, here are reasons why you should give praise to God:

* You Glorify God When You Praise Him – you need a clear understanding of praise before you can praise well. Your praise glorifies God. And when you don’t praise Him you deny Him what is due Him.

* You Trigger Fellowship With God When You Offer Praise – Satan will like to deny you fellowship with God by having your mouth closed to praise. But God will want you to praise to provoke fellowship with Him. So, learn to praise no matter what.

* Praise Provokes Worship – You can’t praise God and not worship Him. When your heart is full of praise to God you can’t struggle to worship Him. My dear, learn to praise God and you will trigger the spirit of worship. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. In every situation, learn to praise and honour God all the same.
2. Be positive-minded and learn to thank God for what He has done or yet to do.
3. Shun complaints and bitterness, but rejoice and praise the Lord instead.
4. Be committed to the act of praise and thanksgiving, and be happy always.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank you because you are worthy of my praise. Help me to praise and honour you always as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse: For the Lord is upright; he is a lover of righteousness: the upright will see his face. Psalms 11:7

LISTEN: God is righteous and holy. Walking with Him is walking into a glorious future. He is righteous and loves righteousness. He is a God of justice and loves those who are just and fair to others. There is no unrighteousness in Him. And He is pleased when we behave in an honest way and maintain high moral standard in a corrupt society. God is honoured when we live to the glory of His name. As children of God we should learn to live as sons and daughters of a holy and righteous God. The LORD our God is righteous in Himself, and in all His ways and works. His righteousness is demonstrated both in visiting and punishing the wicked, and in maintaining the righteous cause of His people. Beloved, righteousness is agreeable to the nature of God: He loves to exercise righteousness in the earth, to administer it to, and among men; this He delights to do. My dear, God has given us His righteousness through Christ Jesus. We became righteous through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. God gave us righteousness as a gift through His Son Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17). Through Christ, God is well pleased with us as we walk in obedience to Him. By Him we shall see His favour, goodness, protection, etc. (Psalms 11:2). Beloved, God is righteous and loves righteousness. So, let us learn to live in line with His will and be blessed. Remember, walking with the righteous God will give you a guaranteed future. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you because you are righteous. Help me to live a righteous life, in Jesus’ name, amen!
