Verse Of The Day : If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8

LISTEN : A young boy in his late twenty said to his mother, “I have given myself up to God, mother!” His mother asked him, “Son, what did you mean by ‘I have given myself up to God?'” “The boy replied, “I mean, I have surrendered myself to Him. I now completely belong to God and have vowed to serve and worship Him for the rest of my life.” The mother exclaimed, “Son, you have done well for yourself by this life- transforming decision you have made. When you walk with God, your future is guaranteed. So, hold onto Him, son.” Lots of people claim to serve God, but only few serve Him in truth and in spirit. Only few are committed to Him whether dead or alive. It is quite hard today to see people who declare their loyalty to God and still stay committed to it. A lot of people are no longer living for God but for themselves. They place their own interests and opinions above God’s. My dear, those who choose to place their own interests above God’s, will wander into the wilderness of frustration, heartbreak and emptiness. As a wise person, you should strive to glorify God with your life. You should endeavour to live for God and not just for yourself. If you are living just for yourself, you are living for nothing. (Mark 8:36,37). So, don’t abandon or ignore God. He who abandons God to pursue the world will eventually discover that he has laboured in vain. Yes, those who live in this life just to please themselves at the expense of God, will regret their actions in due time. Be wise!

Bible Verse : The one who stiffens his neck after numerous rebukes will suddenly be destroyed without remedy. Proverbs 29:1

LISTEN : God is a merciful God and wants everyone of us to turn back to Him from our evil ways. That is why He gave up His son Jesus Christ to save us. Therefore, it is dangerous and unreasonable to harden our hearts against Him. Those who harden their hearts against God have chosen to travel on the way to eternal destruction and death. When the heart is hardened against God, destruction is inevitable.(Proverbs 29:1). My dear, God does not want anyone to perish, rather, He wants all to be saved. However, the choice to be saved or be lost lies with us. God has shown us how to live. Therefore, if we live outside His will, it is because we choose to do so. The Bible says, “Will the LORD accept a thousand rams, or ten thousand streams of olive oil? Should I give him my firstborn child as payment for my rebellion, my offspring – my own flesh and blood – for my sin? He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the LORD really wants from you: He wants you to promote justice, to be faithful, and to live obediently before your God.” (Micah 6:7-8). So, let us not harden our hearts against Him; for He will be provoked to anger when we harden our hearts against Him. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me not to harden my heart to your words, amen!
