Verse Of The Day: Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God. 1 Peter 4:10

LISTEN: We are all stewards of God’s blessings. Therefore, whatever gift (talent) you have, you received it from Him, and should serve others with it. You should be a good steward to God. Let others be blessed by your gifts (talents) to the glory of God. My dear, we own nothing, God owns everything (Psalms 24:1). We are just stewards of God’s blessings; and we should count ourselves privileged to be managers of His blessings. Beloved, we are created to use what we have to make others what they are created to be. When you serve others with your gifts, you challenge them to be useful to themselves and others, too. So, don’t tell me you don’t have what it takes to serve others. You have everything it takes to serve in your own little way. No one is created empty. God created everyone with something that others could benefit from. Beloved, discover your gift and serve others with it. God created us with certain abilities to do certain things well. The problem is that we are too afraid to try out our potentials. My dear, you are gifted. Yes, you are! Therefore, whatever your gift is, use it well to the blessing of humanity and to the glory of God. Never despise or neglect your gifts (talents) anymore. For no gift from God is too small to make a difference or impact lives. From our Bible verse of the day, we will learn the following:

* Everyone Has At Least A Gift From God – my dear, be proud of yourself. You are not a nonentity, you are a heavyweight; you are somebody. Determine to discover your gift, serve with it and you will be celebrated (Proverbs 18:16).

* Genuine Service Makes You A Good Steward – one of the requirements for stewardship is faithfulness. The Bible says, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.(1 Corinthians 4:2). My dear, God’s gift to you is not just for you, but for the blessing of others. So, don’t hoard it or be selfish with it.

Henceforth, look for ways to serve others with your gifts on a daily basis. Be wise!

Bible Verse : You shall have no other gods before me. Exodus 20:3

LISTEN : God said, “You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exodus 20:3). This means that, worship to God is a non-negotiable command. He alone should be worshipped. My dear, you should worship God and God alone because worship belongs to Him. God created man and the entire universe, hence, should be revered above all else. (Luke 4:8). We should accord Him the honour that is due Him. His glory must not be given to another. We should not offer reverence or devote our respect to things that are not God – money, fame, beauty, power, humans, etc. Nothing is worthy of God’s glory than God Himself. This is why He warned in today’s Bible verse against worshipping other gods. We will provoke Him when we abandoned Him in favour of other gods. Beloved, God does not take it lightly when He is denied of His honour and glory. He is provoked when something else takes the first place in our hearts. So, determine today to worship Him alone. Be wise!

Prayer : Heavenly Father, help me to serve you faithfully for the rest of my life, amen!
