Verse Of The Day : The one who walks in his uprightness fears the LORD, but the one who is perverted in his ways despises him. Proverbs 14:2

LISTEN: Uprightness expresses the fear of God in a person’s life; but perverseness dishonours and despises Him. My dear, have the fear of God! It is impossible to be upright without the fear of God in your life. The upright person considers the consequences of his or her actions on his or her integrity and reputation (Proverbs 16:17; 28:6). He or she cares about his or her relationship with God and man. What is uprightness? It is the state of being moral, honest and honourable. A lot of people today have no regard for morals. They hate to do right. They don’t conform to a standard of right behaviour. They live in lies and enjoy fraudulent lifestyle. But the upright has value for morality and honesty. He recognizes spiritual value and respect. He has favourable reputation; dignity and sense of self-worth. Beloved, uprightness rejoices the heart of God (Psalms 11:7)And God is honoured by those who love and fear Him. The upright has respect for the word of God, and very eager to follow God’s will. Anyone who has the fear of God don’t find it difficult to obey Him. He will not stand in opposition to God. He is happy in the presence of God and addicted to doing His will. Sadly, many people have contempt for uprightness because, they have sold their souls to the devil. Some bear the names “Honest” and “Honourable”, but there is nothing honest and honourable about them. Their lives are characterized by deceit, dishonesty and shame. My dear, determine to live uprightly and the glory of God will envelop your life. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Remember this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. 2 Corinthians 9:6

LISTEN : It is a waste of time and effort to sow what you know will neither benefit God nor man. People sow what they want to reap, and not what they want to waste. As a matter of fact, we sow in expectation of a bountiful harvest. Beloved, what you sow is what you will reap (Galatians 6:7). What you give to bless a person in need, or propagate the gospel of Christ Jesus around the world is what you will receive from God in due time. In his message to the Corinthians Church, Apostle Paul made a powerful statement and revelation to what happens with what we give to God. He declares that, what we give affects what we receive. If we intentionally give little when we should give more, we have given selfishly. God wants us to give in accordance with His blessings in our lives. When we give to God or others, we should give as a person making deposits to his own bank account, knowing that, in due time he will withdraw same. Remember, what you sow will determine what you reap. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, you are a generous God. Therefore, give me a generous heart to serve you and humanity with what I have, amen!
