Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. Psalms 54:4 (UKJV)

LISTEN : Great is our God. He is compassionate, loving and merciful. He is our help in times of troubles (Psalms 46:1). Beloved, let the world know who our God is. Let them know that, He keeps His promises to them that love Him. God can’t forsake His own people. He protects His own when Satan comes to deceive and devour them. He never disappoints those who trust in Him. He is always with His obedient and loyal servants when they go through fire and rivers of life. He promises to not allow the fire of life burn them, or be drown by water of afflictions (Isaiah 43:1-2). God is truly our helper. My dear, you can’t be helpless when you have the help of God; you can’t be miserable when you have a miracle-working God; and you can’t be defeated when you have God, the mighty in battle. So, when you are helpless and miserable, just come to Him. When your world is falling apart, come to Him. When everyone has abandoned you, come to Him (Psalms 121:1-2). When your future looks dark and uncertain, come to Him. When sicknesses and diseases threaten to take away your life, come to God. God is willing to help you when you are willing to help yourself by obeying and trusting Him as your God. My dear, build a relationship with the Spirit of God and allow His presence to influence you. When the presence of God goes with you, you will be strengthened and delivered out of your misery. Be wise!

Bible Verse : When he came and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with devoted hearts. Acts 11:23

LISTEN : Until you are devoted to God you are not ready for Him. No one can walk with God with divided attention. Either you are for Him or for the devil. Beloved, to what are you devoted to? Where lies your love and loyalty? Are you devoted to God? Do you know that God can only be committed to those who are committed to Him? My dear, God loves those who are devoted to Him. Those who serve Him with a devoted heart will unfailingly experience His loving-kindness. To be devoted to God is to have strong love and loyalty for Him. When you are devoted to God, His thought and works will take your time and heart. When you are devoted to God, nothing will make sense to you if it does not make sense to God. My dear, are you genuinely devoted to God with your heart, and not just with your mouth? Beloved, determine to express genuine devotion to God and He will connect you to His blessings. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to devote my heart to you always, in Jesus’ name, amen!
