Verse Of The Day : I have said all these things to you so that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble: but take heart! I have overcome the world. Matthew 16:33

LISTEN : A story is told of a man who would wake up every morning to charge his son to brace up for any situation in life. He would say to his son, “Son, no matter how hard or frustrating a situation may be, don’t be discouraged or afraid; rather, brace up for the situation and you will not be defeated in life.” The boy grew up with this mindset and became strong and courageous. There was never a problem he does not have the courage and strength to confront and overcome. Challenged by his courage and willpower, his friends asked him, “Friend, why is it that you always overcome in every situation no matter how bad?” the boy smiled and replied, “I grew up with a winning mindset. My father thought me to brace up for every situation.” My dear, what mindset do you grow up with? Do you grow up with a winning mindset or losing mindset? Are you thinking and living like a winner or a loser? Are you living like a victor or a victim? Friend, how you think is important to what you become (Proverbs 23:7). If you think like a loser you are sure to continue to lose. But if you think like a winner you will be challenged to win. My dear, troubles will come no doubt, but victory is guaranteed by faith in our Saviour Jesus Christ (Mark 9:23). He has made the provision for our victory in every battle. So, rather than worrying about life’s circumstances, be strong and begin to celebrate your victory in Christ, and you will enjoy peace of mind even in difficult situations. Beloved, determine to brace up for any situation. Be wise!

Bible Verse : So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalms 90:12

LISTEN : To learn about life, you should learn from God the owner of life. Learn from the word of God because His word gives insight and understanding. It equips us with knowledge needed to live in the will of God. When we have God’s word dwell richly in us, it will enable us to teach, build and encourage one another with wisdom. The wise will not neglect to build others up to live in line with the will of God. However, where God’s word is taken lightly, people will grow in selfishness, strife, disunity, and all manner of foolish behaviours and actions. Beloved, no real wisdom comes outside the word of God. God’s word is the best instructional book we have in this life. When we embrace the word of God, understanding and wisdom will come naturally. Beloved, how much do you love God’s word? Do you know that no one can do the will of God without obedience to His word? Therefore, let us embrace God’s word today and have our eyes opened to His purpose. Be wise!

Prayer : Most High God, I thank you for your word today. Open my eyes to your will always, in Jesus’ name, amen!
