Author : Bishop Julius Okarike
Verse Of The Day : The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear? Proverbs 18:14.
LISTEN : No one is immune to infirmity. We suffer in different ways. Some suffer as a result of ailments, while others suffer from many other things that ache their hearts and torment their lives. However, we survive by the strength of our spirits (faith in God), or sink by our lost of hope (faithlessness). My dear, even if you are wounded in your body, don’t be wounded in your spirit. That is, no matter what happens, don’t come to the point where you conclude that, it is over with you. My dear, it is suicidal to be wounded in spirit. The Bible says, “The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?” (Proverbs 18:14). God wants us to be strong and courageous in moments of troubles. He wants us to have hope and faith, and sustain the desire to live, and not die. In trouble times, we often hear people say things like, “I can’t make it.” “I am tired, I can’t go on.” “Leave me alone, I want to die.” “It is finished. There is nothing to live for.” The list goes on and on. Beloved, it is dangerous to think like that. You can hardly survive or outlast your problems unless you are determined to overcome. That is why it is important to stay positive even if you are down (Psalms 118:17; Job 19:25). He who is down, yet, stays positive and hopeful, will outlast his challenges and miseries. But he who finds it hard to believe for the best will certainly see the worst. So, be strong and courageous and refuse to sink with your problems. Be wise!

TOPIC : LEARN TO ACT IN FAITH
Monday, April 29, 2019
Bible Verse : What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself. James 2:14,17
LISTEN : Work is the action of faith. Hence, faith without work is dead. The power of faith is in taking necessary actions. My dear, every good step you take moves you to a new level. As much as we pray everyday for a change of level, we must also take the necessary actions to get there. We must make the needed sacrifice to accelerate results. On a daily basis, learn to act and make sacrifice in prayer. Pray when you feel like, and when you don’t feel like it. It is when you act and pray when you don’t feel like it, that you trigger results. Don’t be lazy to pray, think and act, instead, rise and talk to God with expectation. David said, “LORD, in the morning you will hear me; in the morning I will present my case to you and then wait expectantly for an answer.” (Psalms 5:3). Beloved, learn to think and act to attain what God has designed you to be. Don’t fold your hands and wait for ‘manna” to fall, rather, act in faith and cause God’s goodness to happen in your life. Be wise!
Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you because you are God. Help me to always act in faith, in Jesus’ name, amen!
