Verse Of The Day : For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man has, and not according to that he has not. 2 Corinthians 8:12

LISTEN : A man asks his unengaged friend to join him in his line of business, and promised to help him learn on the job. But his friend replied, “My dear, I can’t join you, because I am not as talented as you are. It takes a person like you to do what you are doing.” The man laughed and said, “My dear, It is not totally true. I was like you and also thought the same way you are thinking right now, but one of my friends makes me believe I can do it; and I am sure you can. “My dear, sometimes it takes someone who is extraordinarily talented, or who has a lot of training in some area to do the job. But sometimes it takes those who, even though they don’t yet know how to do it, are willing to take it on and learn as they go. No one is born to do all that we find ourselves doing. We learn to do them as we go. Even if you are born with some extraordinary talents, you still need to be refined to be able to function well. The important thing here is ‘a willing heart.’ If the willingness to do a thing is present, there is always going to be a way to do it. The mind is opened when your heart is willing to do a thing, but closed when you lack the willingness to do it. Until you are willing to learn certain things as you go, you may end up acquiring nothing. So, don’t wait to be extraordinarily talented to be an extraordinary person, rather learn purposefully as you go and you will be extraordinary. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Never think that you can’t learn what you should learn, rather learn as you go.
2. Be opened to learning new things and don’t wait until you have all it takes to do it.
3. Be willing to improve your life and commit yourself to achieving it.
4. Grow your talents and be determined to be what God wants you to be.

Prayer : Everlasting Father, you are Omniscient. Help me to learn and be wise, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : If the willingness to do a thing is present, there is always going to be a way to do it.

Quote : “Unless you are willing to learn certain things as you go, and not wait until you are extraordinarily talented, you may end up acquiring nothing.”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that I can learn something worthwhile even if I am not gifted in such areas. Therefore, I will learn wisely, amen.

Biblical Fact : Did you know Abraham was 99 years old when he was circumcised? (Genesis 17:24).

Today In History : April 18, Zimbabwe’s (Rhodesia) formal independence from Britain is proclaimed.

Stunning Fact : Did you know Coca Cola launched its 3rd product Sprite in 1961?

A Word Of Blessing : You will make a difference. May you learn and be wise. May God fill you with wisdom and understanding to do His will, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work. Revelations 22:12

LISTEN : Jesus Christ is coming back to the earth with your reward. Are you ready for Him? Are you expecting something good from Him? Our Bible verse says, “Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.” (Revelations 22:12).This means that no faithful labour and service to God will be omitted when Jesus Christ returns to the earth to reward His people; and no act of evil will be too small to be punished. Beloved, press on in your service to God. The Bible says, “For God is not unrighteous, so as to forget your work and the love which you showed toward his name, in that you served the saints, and still do serve them.” (Hebrews 6:10). My dear, never give up on your service to Him and His name, because your reward outweighs your earthly labour. Work for God and you will not lose your rewards. Be wise!

Prayer : Almighty God, help me to prepare for the second coming of Jesus Christ, amen.
