Verse Of The Day : Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion,is on the prowl looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

LISTEN : A man gathered his children on his dying bed and said, “My children, don’t forget that, life is a battle, and your victory is determined by your actions. Therefore, be serious-minded, careful and watchful; for you could be attacked by your enemies when you least expect it. But when you are prepared and well equipped, you can’t be defeated.” My dear, this counsel applies to everyone of us. The devil is out to deceive and destroy the careless and unprotected. The careless and unprotected are those who have no relationship with God. Without a relationship with God, you can’t secure His protection for your life. And if God can’t protect you, you are a prey to the devil, ‘the roaring lion.’ Beloved, the lion can’t devour a prey that is protected. In the same way, the devil can’t defeat or destroy anyone whose source of strength is of God. With God, you can conquer the devil. When you adhere strictly to the words of God, the devil can’t make you a pushover. My dear, to overcome in the battles of life, you should realize that, vigilance is required in spiritual warfare. You must not forget that you have an unrelenting enemy, the devil; and that, you can’t overcome him if you are empty of faith (Ephesians 6:16; Hebrews 11:33). Therefore, walk in faith, rely on the grace of God; submit to God and resist the devil, and always walk with God. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Constantly resist the devil and he will flee from you.
2. Walk with God and rely on His grace and not on your strength.
3. Don’t be careless with your life, rather be vigilant and prayerful.
4. Don’t relent on your fight of faith, rather fight until you see the crown of life on your head.

Prayer : Precious Father, you are the reason for my victory. Therefore, help me to serve and worship you for the rest of my life, amen.

Reflection : The devil is out to deceive and destroy the careless and unprotected.

Quote : “He who adheres strictly to the words of God, can’t be made a pushover by the devil and his allies.”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that, I believe in God, therefore the devil can’t make me a pushover, amen!

Biblical Fact : Did you know God created you in His own image? (Genesis 1:27).

Today In History : April 16, 1947 A giant explosion occurs during the loading of fertilizer onto the freighter Grandcamp at a pier in Texas City, Texas. Nearly 600 people lost their lives and thousands injured.

Stunning Fact : Did you know it is physically impossible for you to lick your elbow?

A Word Of Blessing : It is well with you. May God grant you victory in every battle. May you not be put to shame, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son. Revelations 21:7

LISTEN : To a heavenly-minded person, the fight of faith is non-negotiable. We suffer with Christ to reign with Him. If we suffer with Him by living for righteousness, we shall also escape eternal death and reign with Him in the end. Beloved, you must ‘fight’ to overcome, for that is the only way to be happy when your life here is ended (2 Timothy 4:7). Jesus says, “He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.” (Revelations 21:7). What a wonderful promise! With Him you will have an endless bliss in the new world. The Bible says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelations 21:4). My dear, Jesus died to set you free from endless woes and Satan. Therefore, accept Jesus Christ today and delay no more. Fight the fight of faith and you will receive the crown of life. Be wise!

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to fight the fight of faith as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen.
