Verse Of The Day : And they did this not just as we had hoped, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and to us by the will of God. 2 Corinthians 8:5
LISTEN : Your giving to God cannot be complete or genuine without your dedication to Him. Giving is useless where the heart is absent. Until your heart is dedicated to God, your giving cannot please Him. My dear, God wants you (your totality) as much as He wants you to give to His cause in the earth. As a matter of fact, you cannot replace dedication with giving. Each has its place in your relationship with God. One must come before the other; your heart must come first before your gift. What you give is secondary to your relationship with God. When your heart is completely dedicated to God, nothing will be too big or difficult to give to the glory of God. Beloved, you will struggle with giving where your heart is still struggling to surrender totally to God. But when the heart is committed to God, even poverty cannot be an excuse to giving. In his message to his audience, Apostle Paul commended the churches of Macedonia, who in spite of their poverty, gave generously to the welfare of the suffering saints (2 Corinthians 8:1-2). The Bible recorded that, they (churches of Macedonia) voluntarily gave according to their means and beyond their means (v.3). Isn’t that amazing? But how were they able to do that in poverty? The answer is simple, the Bible says, “… they gave themselves first to the Lord…” (2 Corinthians 8:5). They first dedicated themselves to God before they were attracted to His cause. My dear, you cannot give God your hands except your heart is with Him. So, surrender your heart to Him today. Remember, God wants you, not just your gifts. Be wise!

TOPIC : ARE YOU NOT AFRAID OF THE JUDGMENT OF GOD?

Bible Verse : My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments. Psalms 119:120
LISTEN : The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. His fear keeps us from His judgment. Those who fear God are wise, and cannot attract His wrath. God should be revered and praised in all the earth. His presence should instill awe in us. There is none like Him in all the earth in power, glory, might, holiness, greatness, wisdom, etc. His faithfulness is for all generations of those who fear Him. Those who know the Lord trembles at His presence in reverential fear. Not just because He can kill, but because He is good. They bow and worship at His feet for there is none like Him in power and authority. In our bible verse of the day the Psalmist said, “My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments.” (Psalms 119:120). Truly, the righteous knows that God’s judgment on sin is fierce, and therefore will do everything possible to avoid it. My dear, God does not play with sin, therefore, we should avoid it. Henceforth, let us serve Him in fear and honour, and He will bless us. Be wise!
Prayer : Dear Lord, I thank you for the blessings of your word. Help me to fear and honour you for the rest of my life, in Jesus name, amen.
