Verse Of The Day : Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21

LISTEN : A church member, after listening to a message that bothers on forgiveness, asks his Pastor privately and said, “Pastor, you said ‘we should overcome evil with good’, right? If you hear my story you will not blame me for refusing to forgive.” His Pastor replied, “My dear, I feel your pain. Tell me your story.” The church member said, “I was thirteen years old when my parents died in autocrash. And this my uncle took over my father’s properties and never care about my mother and I. He has made our lives miserable and I will not forgive him.” His Pastor replied, “Beloved, you must forgive him. Your faith in Christ Jesus has no base without forgiveness. You belong to God today because God forgave you through the death of His son Jesus Christ. So, forgive him and leave his judgment in the hands of God.” Friend, the Pastor’s advice to his church member is my advice to you today. Live vengeance to God. No matter how bad you have been hurt, God can heal the wound if you allow Him. Just forgive! Forgiveness cannot change the past, but it can change the present and the future. It can change the way you feel, affects your relationship with God positively, and ultimately affects your life. It is said that, “Forgiveness is the ultimate antidote to the poison of loss, harm, sin, and sorrow, even though it looks like the most bitter of cures.” My dear, when you disregard the bitterness of forgiveness and go ahead to swallow it as a pill, you will soon realise that, your general health to an extent, depends on it. Beloved, please forgive your offenders, again I say forgive. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Forgive your offenders not because of them but because of you.
2. Determine to overcome evil with good and not to pay evil for evil.
3. No matter how hurt you are, do not harden your heart against God; just forgive.
4. Forgive others so that, God will forgive you too.

Prayer : Dear Lord, help me to forgive others no matter how hurt I am, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Reflection : Forgiveness is the ultimate antidote to the poison of heartbreak.

Quote : “When you disregard the bitterness of offence, and go ahead to swallow the bitter pill of forgiveness, you will soon realise that, your general health to an extent, depends on it.”

Faith Confession : Today, I acknowledge that forgiveness brings healing to a broken heart. Therefore, I will forgive others when I am offended, amen!

Biblical Fact : Did you know Moses was referred to as the most humble man in the Bible? (Numbers 12:3).

Today In History : March 20, 1987 The United State approves AZT, a drug that is proven to slow the progress of AIDS.

Stunning Fact : Did you know the first train reached a top speed of only 8 kmh (5 mph)?

A Word Of Blessing : Today I speak to your life, may you not lose focus on eternity. May God guide you to make the right decision, and to live in obedience to Him, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

LISTEN : God enables His people to accomplish His purpose for their lives. He releases to us unusual strength to do what we cannot do by our own strength. Beloved, when God is involved everything is possible. The Bible says, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.” (Mark 9:23). You cannot be limited by any circumstance if your faith is alive and active. But where there is no faith, the power to encounter God is hindered. My dear, where faith reigns, doubt and fear will fade away like flowers. You can do all things because you have been empowered by the Most High God. So, no matter the circumstance, like Apostle Paul in our verse of the day, you can learn to say, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” My dear, have faith in God and He will increase His strength in you. Be wise!

Prayer : Blessed Father, increase your power in me and help me to do everything with the strength that only you can give, in Jesus’ name, amen.
