Verse Of The Day : Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face! Job 13:15

LISTEN : Beloved, your faith in Christ Jesus must be tested, but you must determine to stand strong no matter the pressure. When Satan attacks you, he wants you to lose your faith. Therefore, as a dedicated child of God, you should resist his attack on your faith. If your faith in God is firm, you can’t compromise it. Even when the going gets tough and God seems to be silent or very far from you, deep down in your heart you know that God can’t disappoint you. My dear, be rugged with your faith. Don’t allow trials and circumstances of life to strip you of your priceless weapon, even your faith. Never come to a point where you feel disappointed by God. Remember that, whatever you’re going through, He’s already aware of it. But if you won’t renounce Him or trade Him for anything, He’ll rise in your defence. In our bible verse of the day, Job expresses his resolve to remain hopeful and loyal to God no matter what. No matter the trials, he was not going to trade God for anything. He was prepared to lose his life than lose his faith in God. (Job 2:1-10). Job said, “Even if he slays me, I will hope in him… ” (Job 13:15). Job triumphs over his trials because he was not ready to compromise his faith in God. He was willing to lose everything to secure a solid relationship with God. Job was mocked and misjudged by his friends and relatives, yet determined to stick with God. Even when there seems to be no hope of recovery, he continued to trust God. Beloved, no matter the situation, always be firm in your faith in God. Be wise!

Bible Verse : And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray you, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness. 2 Samuel 15:31

LISTEN : It’s unfair to complain about what you didn’t receive when you’ve not asked for it. The Bible says, “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8). People suffer spiritual oppression, intimidation and victimisation because they refuse to ask God for help. God wants to intervene in your situation if you’re willing to cry out to Him. David understands how this works when he prayed to God to turn Ahithophel’s counsel to foolishness. Wise Ahithophel gave Absalom a dangerous counsel that would have ended the life of David and his reign in Israel; but David prayed and reversed his evil plan. He said, “… O LORD, I pray you, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.” (2 Samuel 15:31). God answered and saved him from disaster. Beloved, ask what you want in line with the will of God and you’ll have it. Be wise!

Prayer : Everlasting Father, I thank you because you’ve delivered me from my enemies. Keep me away from evil always, in Jesus’ name, amen.
