Verse Of The Day : He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great. Psalms 115:13

LISTEN : No one is too young or old to be blessed. Besides, the blessing of God is not for a particular age bracket or race. There was a certain slave boy whose family has been enslaved since he was five years old. One day he asked his father, “Father, what is wrong with us? Why are we treated this way by others? When will this be over? Can there not be a solution to our misery?” His father smiled and said, “Son, all will soon be over. Nothing is impossible to God who created the heaven and earth. With Him, no one is too young or old to be blessed. No one is too enslaved to be delivered. Because we fear God, one day we shall be free and blessed.” The following year the family was set free and favoured by their slavemaster in many ways as compensation for their losses.

My dear, like this family God wants to bless you. But His blessings are for those who fear, obey, honour and serve Him as God. Beloved, no matter your age, race, family background, size, skin colour, etc., you are a candidate for the blessings of God if you are determined to fear and please Him. When you receive and obey His word, He plants the seed of His blessings in you. Abraham obeyed God and was blessed for his obedience and faith in God. (Genesis 24:1). Therefore, if God finds you worthy He will work with you and bless you in the end no matter your size, race or family background. God blessed and anointed David above his brothers even when they felt he was not qualified for it. But he was God’s choice because his heart is with God (1 Samuel 13:14; Acts 13:22). Beloved, God can bless anyone, but we must position ourselves for His blessings. We are positioned for God’s blessings when we walk in fear, faith and obedience to Him. So, learn to walk in obedience to God. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?

4. Walk with the fear of God and resist the spirit of disobedience.

Prayer : Precious Father, I thank you for nothing is impossible to you. Therefore, help me to trust in you and serve you with fear and honour, in Jesus’ name, amen!

Reflection : No one is too young or old to be blessed. And the blessing of God is not designed for a particular age bracket or race.

Quote : “He who God finds faithful and obedient, He receives, works with and blesses no matter his size, race, colour or family background.”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that God is good. He blesses people irrespective of size, race, colour, family background, etc. Therefore, He will bless me. And I will fear and honour Him for the rest of my life, amen!

Bible Verse : Into your hand I commit my spirit: you have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. Psalms 31:5

LISTEN : God never loses what is committed to His hands. He protects and redeems anyone who runs to Him for safety. My dear, are you tired of life because life seems to be unfair to you? Not to worry! Run to God and commit yourself to Him. Stop being afraid and lean on God. When the going gets tough and you do not know what else to do, place your faith in God. Look to Him for provision, protection and intervention. Talk to Him about what you are going through. Tell Him your fears and worries because He cares for you (1Peter 5:7). God is forever faithful and will not fail you. He is always there to help when trouble hits you. Beloved, God is faithfully waiting for you to call to Him. Why not call to Him today and be delivered? When you are stretched and stressed out by troubles, spread yourself in God’s word. Breath the fresh air of His presence. Dig deep into His words and you will find rest for your soul. Friend, the words of God will point you to His faithfulness. Truly, when you understand the words of God you will acknowledge and appreciate His faithfulness. Beloved, cheer up! God is forever faithful to those who put their trust in Him. So, commit yourself to Him and put your trust in Him and you will not be put to shame. Be wise!

Prayer : Almighty God, I surrender my life to you. Keep my heart in perfect peace, in Jesus’ name, amen.
