Verse Of The Day : I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts. Psalms 119:63

LISTEN : Friendship has a way of affecting our lives positively or negatively as the case may be (Ecclesiastics 4:9-12; 1 Corinthians 15:33-34). Many people are made by friendship (association), while many others are marred by it. Right association will produce a better life; but wrong association will ruin it instead. However, there is no better life without the fear of God. And the fear of God is the true purpose of human existence. To be a God-fearing person, you should make friends with those who fear God. David said, “I am a friend of all those who fear you, of those who observe your precepts.” (Psalms 119:63). A man was asked by his friend thus, “Why do you choose me as a friend?” The man replied, “I chose you as my friend because you are God-fearing. My association with you has transformed me immensely. I never believed in God, but now I do, because you have opened my eyes to the truth. Friend, I do not regret knowing you.” He said with a smile. Beloved, this is what true friendship truly is. True friendship will not lead you away from God, but to Him. It enables you to grow in love, self-control, faith and obedience to God. Beloved, who are your friends? What are your reasons for choosing them? Think and regularly evaluate your association with others. And any association that encourages you to disobey and undermine God, avoid it. Remember, true friendship will lead you to God and not lead you away from Him. Be wise!

Bible Verse : But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night. Psalms 1:2

LISTEN : Beloved, do you love the word of God? Are there benefits in loving the word of God? Will God’s word make you better than you are? My dear, the word of God is a refiner. It brings the best in us. Because God’s word is pure, it purifies anyone who values it. The Bible says thus, “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.” (Psalms 12:6). Yes! The word of God revives, refreshes and reforms people. The Bible says, The law of the Lord is good, giving new life to the soul: the witness of the Lord is certain, giving wisdom to the foolish” (Psalms 19:7 BBE). Truly, when the word of God is present in a person’s life, transformation will occur; a sinner will be changed into a saint, hope will be given to the hopeless, bitterness will be turned to sweetness ; and shame will be turned into glory. Besides, God’s word is a way maker. It gives directions and enable those who esteem it highly to be successful and prevail in life. Beloved, how much do you love God’s word? Henceforth, grow your love for God and His words, and He will make you to succeed where others fail. Be wise!

Prayer : Almighty God, your word is true and active. Therefore, help me to love your words as long as I live, in Jesus’ name, amen!
