Verse Of The Day : Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face! Job 13:15

LISTEN : People get pissed off when they suffer for what they are not responsible for. They tend to murmur, protest and put up a defence for themselves. Sincerely speaking, it hurts to suffer for one’s righteousness and innocence. Worst of all, one’s heart is broken when everyone else believes that your wickedness has caught up with you. That was exactly the condition of Job. His tragedy was much that no one, including his family members and closest friends could believe he was not responsible for his calamity. Everyone deserted and despised him. Then the question is, “how was he able to survive such predicaments?” “Why was he not broken beyond remedy?” How was he able to remain firm in his faith in God, when it is obvious that he found himself in a situation in which no progress seems to be possible?” How was he able to cope with the loss of everything?” Why did he not give up hope and quit his faith? My dear, the answer is hidden in his faith in God. In our verse of the day he said, “Even if he slays me, I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face!” (Job 13:15). Job’s faith was not compromised no matter his trials. He esteemed his faith in God more than anything else. Wealth or no wealth, family or no family, money or no money, popularity or no popularity, he was determined to stick with God. Not too many people can do what Job did. Job wanted nothing but God. Thankfully, at last he found God and was not disappointed (Job 42:12-17). Beloved, when you reject all in favour of God, God will return to you with His blessings at the appointed time. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Your word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against you. Psalms 119:11

LISTEN : More often than not, people make decisions to live in accordance with God’s will, but found themselves deeply soaked in sin within a short period of time. The truth is that, we often ignore and neglect the words of God. God’s word is powerful and good enough to keep us from sin. People enjoy living in sin because they are bankrupt of the word of God. Friend, how much do you love the word of God? God’s words in your heart will influence your life positively. Your actions are based on the state of your heart. Therefore, if your heart is empty of God’s words, your actions will be dominated by evil. That is why we are urged to protect our hearts. The Bible says, “Guard your heart with all vigilance, for from it are the sources of life.” (Proverbs 4:23).Beloved, if you lose control of your heart, you have lost control of your life. So, guard your heart jealously with the words of God, because your life is a function of it. Do not play with God’s words, instead, take it seriously. Our Bible verse this evening tells us how to stay out of sin and disobedience to God. The Psalmist says, “Your word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against you.” (Psalms 119:11). Beloved, do you have God’s words in your heart? Do you read and meditate in the words of God? If not, do it today and you will be blessed. Be wise!

1. Pray and bless God for His love and the gift of life.
2. Ask for forgiveness and restoration of your life.
3. Pray for divine protection and peace of God in your heart.
4. Ask God for grace to treasure His words in your heart.
5. Pray and cancel every evil plan against you and yours.

You will make a difference. May the Lord bless you and open your eyes to His will as long as you live, in Jesus’ name, amen.
