Verse Of The Day: He, that being often reproved hardens his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Proverbs 29:1

LISTEN: What a privilege to be part of survivors of last year (2018)! Beloved, God is gracious. Therefore, we should not take His grace for granted. God should be worshipped, honoured, respected, served and obeyed as the only living and true God (Isaiah 43:11;1 Timothy 1:17). Friend, you should not harden your heart to His word, rather open your heart to Him. Never forget that he who hardens his heart to God has chosen the path of destruction. Disobedience to God is a choice to eternal destruction and death. When your heart is hardened to God, destruction will be inevitable. (Proverbs 29:1). My dear, God is pleading with you today to open your heart to Him and escape His wrath. So, do not take His leniency for granted. Just acknowledge that He does not want you to perish, but to be saved. Hence, the choice to be saved lies with you. God has shown us in His words how to live. Therefore, if you live outside His will, it is just because you choose to do so to your own hurt. The Bible says, “Will the LORD accept a thousand rams, or ten thousand streams of olive oil? Should I give him my firstborn child as payment for my rebellion, my offspring – my own flesh and blood – for my sin? He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the LORD really wants from you: He wants you to promote justice, to be faithful, and to live obediently before your God.” (Micah 6:7-8). Did you hear that? Henceforth, do not harden your heart to God; rather be opened to His words (instructions, warnings, encouragement, etc.). Surely, if you obey and honour God, you will experience the blessing He reserves for those who love and honour Him. So, open your heart to Him today. Be wise!

Bible Verse : And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Ezekiel 22:30

LISTEN: The church is fast losing people who have a heart and passion for prayer like John Khox of Scotland. People who can intercede like the early church, for our contaminated and sinking world (Acts 1:12-15). Beloved, every land needs people who have passion for prayer of intercession. When God is angry with a people, He expects someone to sense the danger and move to stop it. Sadly, our land is consumed with evil because no one seems to care about what is happening. No one is prepared to intercede for the erring majority in the world. In the days of Prophet Ezekiel, God warned the Israelites of imminent danger, just the same way He is warning us today. Like them, we do not heed His warnings, nor do we often act as required. In our bible verse, God trusts prophet Ezekiel to deliver a warning message to Judah and Jerusalem. Demanding that someone should sense the danger and “stand in the gap” for the land to avert His (God’s) wrath. In the same way, who is ready to “stand in the gap” to stop God’s wrath today? Could I be that “one man” God is looking for? Or you? My dear, time is running out. Let us look around and wake up to the reality that our families, churches, communities, nation, and the world are in great need of people to rise and pray to avert the wrath of God! Bothered about his people (the Israelites), Apostle Paul said, “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.” (Romans 10:1). Beloved, like Paul, let us pray to save our people. Be wise!

1. Pray and bless God for provision and protection.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and mercy.
3. Ask God to strengthen your prayer life.
4. Pray and destroy all satanic plans against you and people of God.
5. Pray for peace of mind and calm in your spirit.

May the Lord equip you for prayer. May the grace to stand in the gap for others be released to you, amen.
