Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23.

LISTEN : Just as it was prophesied, virgin Mary gives birth to Jesus Christ the Son of God at the appointed time. The birth of Jesus Christ brings God closer to humanity. His birth makes God’s presence available to those who choose to draw closer to Him. God created us and wants us to enjoy the benefits of His presence. This is made possible by the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. With Jesus Christ, God is now with us. That is the meaning of His name, Emmanuel. We are no longer enemies to God, instead, we have been reconciled to Him. Beloved, God is with us. God with us means that nothing can prevail against us (Romans 8:31). The strongholds of sin and Satan are broken by Jesus’s birth, death and resurrection. God with us means that God is our support and He desires to have a relationship with us. He wants to dwell in us always. Through Jesus Christ He has forgiven all our sins and reconciled us to Himself. He has given us the opportunity to return to Him with all our hearts (2 Corinthians 5:19;Isaiah 53:6). What a privilege! Beloved, Jesus Christ is the reason for this season. His immaculate conception and birth was divine and timely. He was born to save us from destruction, and to give us eternal life. Friend, Jesus Christ is all you need to come to God. So, receive Him today and spread the message of His love to the world. Remember, He is Emmanuel, God with us. With God, there is a future for you. Be wise!

Bible Verse : I rejoice at your word, as one that finds great spoil. Psalms 119:162

LISTEN : The word of God is precious and life-giving. It is the way to life, peace, happiness and eternal bliss. Those who know the value of the word of God would rejoice in it always. Friend, does the word of God excites you? Do you know God’s word is key to life? God’s word is life. Therefore, His word should trigger joy in us because it comes with countless benefits. However, we cannot enjoy these benefits until we have developed hunger for the word. When we hunger for His word we will draw strength from it. What does it mean to hunger for God’s word? It means to be excited by God’s word and to long for righteousness. The Psalmist said, “I rejoice at your word, as one that finds great spoil.” (Psalms 119:162) So, if you cannot find joy in God’s word you do not have hunger for it. You should value God’s word more than self- satisfaction and above all else. Job said, “I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food” (Job 23:12). Beloved, when God’s Word is as important to you as your physical food, then you are going to start to grow in your Christian life and knowledge of God. Henceforth, may your heart not be spiritually dry and empty of God’s Word. Be wise!

1. Thank the Lord for today and bless His name for the gift of life.
2. Ask God for forgiveness, peace and restoration.
3. Pray God to give you a heart for His word and love for Him.
4. Bind and cast out every evil plot against you and the people of God.

Today, I prophesy to you, it is well with you. May the Lord give you a heart for His word and love for His name, in Jesus’ name, amen.
