Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : The angel came to her and said, “Greetings, favored one, the Lord is with you!” Luke 1:28 (NET)

LISTEN : God’s presence brings favour, and His favour gives meaning to life. Who the Lord favours He empowers ; and who He empowers He uses to fulfill His eternal purpose for humanity. God chose virgin Mary to fulfill His eternal purpose of giving birth to the holy child Jesus Christ. The birth of Christ came in very unlikely manner that even Mary who was divinely elected to carry the child was amazed. The Bible says, The angel came to her and said, “Greetings, favored one, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled by his words and began to wonder about the meaning of this greeting. So the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God! Listen: You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I have not had sexual relations with a man?” (Luke 1:28 – 31,34). Mary asked how it is possible to get pregnant and give birth to a child since she has not had sexual relations with a man. Every rational person in the same situation would ask the same question Mary asked. She was not unbelieving, but just expressing a fact about human limitations. By the words of the angel, she believed that God is able to do all things. The Bible says, So Mary said, “Yes, I am a servant of the Lord; let this happen to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.(Luke 1:38). Beloved, have you said ‘yes’ to the assignment God has for you? Like Mary, have you surrendered yourself to God no matter the cost? Friend, with God’s presence you can attract His favour. Today, God can favour you if you are ready to work with Him and tell the world that Jesus Christ saves. Be wise!

Bible Verse : Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized. And while he was praying, the heavens opened. Luke 3:21

LISTEN : God is ready to open the heaven if you are prepared to receive what He will give. Dedication and genuine prayer to God will trigger an “open heaven.” An “open heaven” refers to an unhindered manifestation of God’s own presence and glory in the earth, to bless and touch every aspect of the person or people He wants to bless. God is willing to release an “open heaven” to us if we are prepared and desperate to provoke it. “Open heaven” is God’s desire for all believers in Christ Jesus. However, we can hinder “open heaven” if we refuse to walk in line with God. Our desire for an “open heaven” should be as a result of our hunger to please God through our lives. Beloved, God can open the heaven for you if you can open your heart to Him. You may ask, what should I do to provoke an open heaven? To provoke an open heaven you must walk in faith and obedience to God; be prayerful and dedicated to Him, have the fear of God and maintain a relationship with God and His people. (see Deut 28:1-2; Malachi 3:8-12; 1Thess 5:17; Acts 10:9-17; Ezekiel 1:1; Psalms 5:12; 84:11). My dear, open heaven will give you access to divine revelations, divine secrets, favour, protection, authority, divine provisions ; and access to the presence of God. Surely, the heaven will be opened to you if you will open your heart to God today. So, dedicate yourself to God; pray and walk in faith, and hunger for His presence and He will order an open heaven for you. Be wise!

1. Thank God for His goodness in your life.
2. Ask Him for forgiveness where you have gone wrong.
3. Pray that God will open the heaven for you and yours.
4. Bind and cast every demonic spirit or a strange force against the plan of God for your life.
5. Thank God for answering your prayers.

May God opens your heaven. I command every yoke of misfortune, sickness and failure in your life to break, in Jesus name, amen.
