Verse Of The Day : Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever! Hebrews 13:8

LISTEN : God has the nature of immortality. He has unending existence : He never dies, and therefore cannot be forgotten. He shares the same nature with Jesus Christ His only begotten son whom He sent to the world to both save and restore us to the glory of His name. Jesus Christ said, I and my Father are one.(John 10:30). Jesus Christ is not different from his Father. He never did anything outside his Father’s will when he walked the earth. He preached the gospel, cast out demons, healed the sick, raised the dead, forgave sinners, fed the hungry, consoled the bereaved, was generous, compassionate, holy, caring, loving, peaceful, etc. He worked and fulfilled his Father’s will on the cross and thereupon exclaimed, “… It is finished.” (John 19:30). What was eventually accomplished on the cross was what started in a season like this (birth of Jesus Christ). Jesus Christ is the reason for this season. He came to the world to fulfill the will of God. He was born a Saviour to the world. Above all, He remains the same. Our verse of the day says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!” (Hebrews 13:8). Beloved, are you a follower of Jesus Christ? If yes, then know that you have a Saviour, a mentor, a mediator, a healer, a provider, a loving and caring Lord, etc. He is today all he was when he was practically present in the world. Besides, His promises are as valid as they were millions of years ago. Beloved, He who is happy to celebrate Christmas and unhappy with the person of Jesus Christ is ignorant of the meaning of Christmas. So, as you celebrate this season, be thankful to God for Jesus Christ our Saviour. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and embrace His plans for your life.
2. Believe the promises of God and claim them for yourself.
3. Discover the will of God for your life and follow it as long as you live.
4. Celebrate this season with the mind that your life is incomplete without a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Prayer: Oh Lord! I thank you because you are the same forever. Help me to truly rely on you and to faithfully follow your will for my life, in Jesus’ name’ name.

Reflection : God is the same always. His promises are as valid as they were millions of years ago.

Quote : “He who is happy to celebrate Christmas and unhappy with the person of Jesus Christ is ignorant of the meaning of Christmas.”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that Jesus Christ is faithful and changes not. He was born to save me therefore, I will serve and worship Him as long as I live, amen.

Biblical Fact: Did you know Joseph of Arimathaea was also a follower of Jesus Christ? (John 19:38).

Today In History : December 15, 1972 The Commonwealth of Australia orders equal pay for women.

Stunning Fact: Did you know the ancient Greeks first grew carrots as a form of medicine and not a food?

A Word Of Blessing : May the Lord bless you. May you fix your eyes on Jesus Christ and reject the pressure from the world, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : A person is praised in accordance with his wisdom, but the one who has a twisted mind is despised. Proverbs 12:8

LISTEN : True wisdom is key to honour, favour and life. Wisdom is wonderful, and it is the beauty of life. What is wisdom? Wisdom is simply a good sense or judgment : right application of knowledge. Wisdom is very key to life. Life without wisdom is empty of purpose and directions; and life without purpose lacks meaning. Wisdom brings honour, and lack of it brings disgrace. One’s level of wisdom will determine how far one will go in life. It will determine the kind of people that will be willing to associate with you. Wisdom brings success, and everyone wants to identify with success. No one wants to be part of failure. Yet, a lot of people are not doing enough to get wisdom. The Bible says, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7). True wisdom comes from God, hence, to get it you must have God. Wisdom is wrapped in the word of God, therefore, to walk in God’s wisdom you must deep yourself in God’s word. The deeper you go into the words of God the wiser you become. (Psalms 119:100). Wisdom keeps you from a crooked lifestyle and reckless use of your tongue. Beloved, you cannot be ungodly or irrelevant when you walk in true wisdom. So, pursue wisdom and honour will pursue you ; despise it and you will be despised. Henceforth, make your life an expression of wisdom. Be wise!

1. Thank the Lord for today and the gift of life.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and restoration.
3. Pray for wisdom and understanding.
4. Ask for a good night sleep, and destroy Satan’s plans over your life.

Today I prophesy to you, may God help you to live in wisdom all the days of your life. in Jesus’ name, amen.
