Verse Of The Day : When Jesus heard this, he said, “This sickness will not lead to death, but to God’s glory, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” John 11:4

LISTEN : When sickness comes, the first thing that comes to mind is, “I want to be well again so I can go about my business and enjoy my life as usual.” Sadly, sometimes it does not happen as we wish, but lingers more than we expected. Most times sickness often results in loss of relationship, job, money, wealth, etc. Some seem to have no medical or natural remedies. As a result, their victims often give up hope as they wait for when death will come knocking on their door. My dear, are you sick and the situation seems hopeless? I want you to know that with God there is hope even in a hopeless situation. (Luke 1:37). Our Bible verse of the day is about Lazarus of Bethany, Jesus’s friend who was critically ill, and a message was sent to Jesus Christ to come over to see, or possibly heal him. (John 11:1-3). To this He said, “This sickness will not lead to death, but to God’s glory, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.” (v.4). However, He delayed His trip to Bethany until His friend was dead and buried. Few days after, He travelled to Bethany with His disciples to bring His friend back to life. Many people mocked and doubted Him, but when He arrived at the tomb, He called on God and Lazarus who was dead for four days came back to life. (vv.41-44). The case of Lazarus is a demonstration of what God can do. God’s power is unmatchable and unstoppable. His power is in His words, and no situation can resist His power. Beloved, are you sick in your body? Are you afraid because the situation is getting worse by the day? Calm down! The sickness will not lead to death, but to the glory of God. Sicknesses and death obey God, therefore, do not give room to fear. When situation threatens your life, encourage yourself in God. Friend, if you can conquer your fear through faith in God, no situation can keep you down. So, stop complaining and take your problems to God. Remember, God can give life to your sick body. Be wise!

Bible Verse : If we live, we live for the Lord; if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. Romans 14:8

LISTEN : Beloved, are you living for God or just for yourself? Those who live for God also live for others. They know their lives revolve around God. Unfortunately, there are many who claim to serve God today, but only few truly belongs to God. Only few are committed to Him whether dead or alive. It is quite hard today to see people who declare their loyalty to God and stay committed to Him. A lot of people are no longer living for God but for themselves. They place their own interests and opinions above God’s. Beloved, those who choose to place their own interests above God’s will wander into the wilderness of frustration, heartbreak and emptiness. As a wise person, you should strive to glorify God with your life. You should endeavour to live for God and not just for yourself. Friend, if you are living just for yourself, you are living merely for nothing. (Mark 8:36,37). So, do not abandon or ignore God. He who abandons God to pursue the world will eventually discover that he has laboured in vain. Surely, those who live in this life just to please themselves at the expense of God, will exit this world to mourn and groan forever in hell. Be wise!

1. Appreciate God for His love and mercy and ask Him for forgiveness.
2. Ask God for grace to live for Him and not just for yourself.
3. Pray and cancel the spirit of error and selfishness.
4. Pray against demonic manipulations and manifestations.

Today I speak into your life. It is well with you. May God cause you to live for Him as long as you live, in Jesus’ name, amen.
