Verse Of The Day : The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “The LORD is just.” 2 Chronicles 12:6

LISTEN : Sin is bad, but worst when the sinner refuses to admit his wrong to God. God is angry with the wicked person, but shows mercy to the penitent. When the sinner humbles himself before God, God extends His hand of mercy to him or her. Beloved, God’s mercy cannot be experienced where people’s hearts are hardened to His rebuke and warnings. You must admit your faults to God to be able to experience His forgiveness. In our verse of the day, the leaders of Judah (Israel) and their king (Rehoboam) responded to God’s words of judgment delivered by Shemaiah the prophet against them. Because they sinned against God, God vowed to deliver them to king Shishak of Egypt. The Bible says, “After Rehoboam’s rule was established and solidified, he and all Israel rejected the law of the LORD.” Shemaiah the prophet visited Rehoboam and the leaders of Judah who were assembled in Jerusalem because of Shishak. He said to them, “This is what the LORD says: ‘You have rejected me, so I have rejected you and will hand you over to Shishak.’”(2 Chronicles 12:1,5). Amazingly, the leaders and king Rehoboam immediately admitted their sins and humble themselves to God. The Bible says, “The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “The LORD is just.” (2 Chronicles 12:6). Beloved, how quick do you admit your faults to God? Do you know God is just in His judgment, and can forgive you if you humble yourself and repent of your sin? Because the king and the leaders of Israel humble themselves to God, God forgave and delivered them from king Shishak of Egypt. ( see 2 Chronicles 12:7). Beloved, learn to humble yourself and admit your sins to God, and you will receive His forgiveness. Remember, God is just. Be wise!

Bible Verse : As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby: 1 Peter 2:2

LISTEN : Feed on the word of God. When you feed on the word of God you will nourish your soul and preserve your eternal future. God’s word is the real food of life. We eat food not just to satisfy our hunger, but to be strong, grow healthy and stay alive. Growth and life generally cannot be sustained without food. In the same way, our spiritual life cannot be sustained without spiritual food (the word of God). To grow spiritually we should thirst after God. When we hunger and thirst after God and His righteousness, nothing will satisfy our hungry soul but God. Only His words can truly satisfy our spiritual needs. Beloved, your hunger for God begins when you realise your emptiness without Him, and the need to desire His words. (John 15:5). We are to hunger for God’s word the way we hunger for physical food. God’s word is key to spiritual growth and maturity. We cannot attain God’s expectations if we do not desire His words. Our Bible verse says, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that you may grow thereby:” (1 Peter 2:2). Beloved, to be spiritually strong and matured, you must desire God’s word the same way a baby would desire his or her mother’s breast milk. So, embrace, study and meditate on God’s word to grow in line with His will. Feed on the word of God and you will not suffer spiritual starvation and death. Be wise!

1. Thank God for protection and daily provisions.
2. Ask for His forgiveness, cleansing and restoration of your life.
3. Pray for grace to hunger and thirst after God and His words.
4. Pray against every mountain of your life, and cast them into the sea forever.
5. Ask God for a good night sleep, and command every demonic spirit out of your life.

Today I prophesy to you, may God cause you to grow as you study and meditate in His word daily, in Jesus’ name, amen.
