Authors: Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day: Above all, keep your love for one another fervent, because love covers a multitude of sins.- 1 Peter 4:8.

LISTEN: God is concerned about our love for one another. The primary meaning of love in scripture is a “purposeful commitment to sacrificial action for another.” Such purposeful commitment could be for God or man. Sacrifice is the beauty of love. True love is sweet because it heals and blesses people. It is the cure for all manner of evil and selfish activities in the world. Love is the balm that is fit for calming the hurting and offended. It is the virtue required of us to still live as one even when those we love break our hearts. With love, no matter how offended or hurt you might be, you can still forgive for christ’s sake. Beloved, are you badly hurt by a friend, and so have sworn not to forgive him or her? Are you frustrated by your parents or family members? As a result, you have sworn never again to have anything to do with your family? Have you been wrongly punished, mistreated or rejected by your spouse? And therefore have determine to avenge yourself? Have you been betrayed and emotionally wounded by someone you loved so much? As a result, you have vowed to get back at the offender? Are your dreams aborted because those you relied on abandoned you to your own fate, and today your life has been wrecked? Never mind! Just allow love to rule in your life. Beloved, love heals all wounds, kills all pains and cover multitude of sins. Love is powerful, and more powerful than you think. The Bible says “Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up. It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful. It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” (1Cornthians 13:4-7). So, let us walk in love and spread the message of love around the world. Be wise!

Bible Verse: For the Lord is upright; he is a lover of righteousness: the upright will see his face. Psalms 11:7

LISTEN: God is upright and holy. He is righteous and loves righteousness. He is a God of justice and loves those who are just and fair to others. There is no unrighteousness in Him. And He is pleased when we behave in an honest way and maintain high moral standard no matter what. God is honoured when we live to the glory of His name. As children of God we should learn to live as sons and daughters of a holy and righteous God. The LORD our God is righteous in Himself, and in all His ways and works. His righteousness is demonstrated both in visiting and punishing the wicked, and in maintaining the righteous cause of His people. Beloved, righteousness is agreeable to the nature of God: He loves to exercise righteousness in the earth, to administer it to, and among men; this He delights to do. Friend, God has given us His righteousness through Christ Jesus. We became righteous through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. God gave us righteousness as a gift through His Son Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17). Through Christ, God is well pleased with us as we walk in obedience to Him. By Him we shall see His favour, goodness, protection, etc. (Psalms 11:2). Beloved, God is righteous and loves righteousness. So, let us learn to live in line with His will and be blessed. Be wise!

1. Thank God for His blessings to you.
2. Ask Him for mercy and forgiveness for your sin.
3. Ask God to guide your heart and steps towards His will.
4. Ask for divine protection and peace of mind; and thank God for answering your prayers.

Today, I prophesy to you, may God bless you and cause you to walk uprightly, in Jesus’ name, amen.
