Author : Bishop Julius Okarike

Verse Of The Day : He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son. Revelations 21:7

LISTEN : God is full of power and glory. And those who must walk with Him must embrace His nature. He who wants to experience God’s power and glory must fight the fight of faith. He must be ready to overcome the world of sin and trials. God reserves His blessings for those who will overcome trials, sin and everything the world throws at them. Beloved, God wants to give you eternal life. He wants you to experience a life of endless bliss after your struggle in this life. However, He will not give eternal life to you by way of sympathy, but by winning the fight of faith. You must overcome to be able to receive it. You must be prepared to defend what Jesus died for. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Therefore, for us to reach the end of our life and Christian journey successfully, our eyes must be fixed on Him (Hebrews 12:2). No matter the trials or circumstances of your life, you should hold onto your faith from start to finish. Surely, if you suffer with Christ by saying no to sin and inordinate desires of the flesh, you will certainly escape eternal death and reign with Him in eternity. Friend, there are better days ahead. Therefore, let us walk with Jesus Christ no matter what. The Bible says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (Revelations 21:4). Isn’t that interesting? Jesus died to free you from endless woes. So, do you not want to be free, saved and blessed? Embrace Jesus Christ today and fight to overcome, and you will receive the crown of life. Be wise!

Having read today’s devotional, what is expected of you?
1. Receive Jesus Christ into your life and be saved from God’s wrath.
2. Resist the devil and fight the fight of faith till the end of your life.
3. Acknowledge your sin today and be reconciled to God without delay.

Reflection: Fight the ‘fight of faith’ to overcome, for that is the only way to be happy when your life here is ended.

Quote : “Eternal life is reserved for overcomers, not for churchgoers and spiritual weaklings.”

Faith Confession : Today, I confess that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God. He died to save and bless me. Therefore, I will not take His death for granted, in Jesus’ name, amen.

Bible Verse : Do not say, “I will pay back evil!” Wait for the LORD, so that he may vindicate you. Proverbs 20:22 NET

LISTEN : Are you itching to pay back evil for evil? Do you want “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth?” Do you find it difficult to forgive your offenders. It is quite unfortunate that everyone wants to take revenge against his or her offender(s). No one wants to forgive. Everyone wants to take his or her own “pound of flesh.” What a wicked world! No peace, no forgiveness, no love, but rather violence, killing, destruction and all manner of evil. We want to revenge every evil no matter what. Beloved, why seek private revenge instead of seeking God’s vindication? The bible says, “Do not say, “I will pay back evil!” That is , do not do an injury to one that has done one to you. The Bible commands that private revenge is not to be taken, but should be left to God, to whom vengeance belongs. You should learn to wait on the Lord, and He shall save you; commit yourself and cause to God; leave it with Him to avenge your wrongs, and wait for His own time to do you justice. He will at the proper season, and in His own way, save you from your enemies, and make a righteous retribution to them (your enemies). The word of God declares, “Be sure of this: the wicked will not go unpunished, but the descendants of the righteous will go free” (Proverbs 11:21). Beloved, do not waste your time seeking revenge, instead, seek the will and help of God. Be wise!

1. Pray and bless God for provision and protection.
2. Ask God for forgiveness and mercy.
3. Ask God to heal your broken heart and remove the thoughts of vengeance.
4. Pray and destroy all satanic plans against you, and the body of Christ around the world.
5. Pray for peace of mind, good sleep and faith to be saved.

May the Lord heal your wounded and bleeding heart, may He quench the desire for revenge in your heart, amen.
